With seven miles of picturesque, sandy shoreline and a chain of inland lakes left behind by a long-ago channel of the Nehalem River, Rockaway Beach is one of the coast's most popular spots for outdoor enthusiasts. Boating, fishing, crabbing, sea kayaking, and sandcastle-building are just a few of the area's star attractions. The heart of downtown is less than a mile south, where you'll find an assortment of casual eateries and cute shops. Don't worry - the grocery store is close by too! Just south of town, photographers flock to the beautiful Twin Rocks for a jaw-dropping image of the sun sinking below the horizon.

The full kitchen does not have a dishwasher.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Was a few steps from the beach which was awesome. The home was spacious. It needed some upgrades though. There was grout missing in the bathroom floor, brown water damage on parts of the baseboards, plastic shower curtain was missing so all the water was mildewing the cloth curtain.

Cute quiet place
Cute place, great beach access and very private feel to stay. The place needs a little maintenance and some deep cleaning love, but overall happy with our little bungalow stay!

Great location, but need
The location is fantastic - beach is 20 feet away and it feels very private. Manhattan beach is not very crowded. Rockaway Beach is a fun town, well situated to visit Tillamook and various beaches/ small towns along the coast. The house was comfortable and well stocked with dishes, basic cooking essentials, and puzzles/games. Air conditioning worked well and we appreciated having a washer/dryer. Unfortunately the unit was quite dirty when we entered. It had not been swept and there was a significant amount of sand/dirt on the floor, shower, and even on the kitchen table. Shower shelves and other surfaces had old dried dead bugs on them. I really questioned whether the unit had been cleaned and if so, they are really slacking. I had to do some cleaning myself to make it feel livable, which was disappointing. There was an ant trap on the kitchen counter with a few ants walking across the counter. I did share this feedback with the local property manager who was responsive and brought me ant spray. Ultimately it was a very nice place to stay -- just needs better cleaning protocols.

All you need
This was a perfect spot to meet a friend and spend a few days relaxing with my senior dogs. Simple beach cottage with a great location. Right on the beach, enjoyed coffee on the bluff. Will stay there again.

Nice rental for a weekend at the beach
The property is well represented in the description. The heated floors in one bathroom was a welcome amenity as it was a cold weekend when we were there. The location was nice for us as we have a reactive dog and it is not on a busy part of the beach and the beach is just over the dune. There are beach toys provided (skim boards, kites, sand toys) which would be nice in a warmer part of the year.

The local crew responded when we asked for heat 18 hours after we called because it took that long for them to get the message. The Vacasa call center dropped the priority and need to "low", so it took 18 hours to get adequate heat in the bungalow. The exterior of the property looks run down and in need of TLC. The interior was spotless. Whoever cleans does a great job and they get a 6 star rating! It rained nearly the whole time we were there so we spent a lot of time indoors. Please check the number of throw rugs that are lying around in bathrooms, as they are tripping hazards. We liked the bungalow, loved the ocean, and enjoyed our weekend. But Vacasa's guest services call center is in need of improvement or a complete gutting and overhaul.

Cute and Roomy
Two bedrm two baths make this small home roomy. The updated bath with heated floor is nice! It really needs curtains and curtain rods for all the windows, would improve the esthetics. Nice and perfect for what we wanted. Like the path to the quiet beach, just wish I could see the waves and not just hear them. Was a nice stay!

Great location, not clean, Security issues!
This property served its purpose. We liked the location and that it was pet friendly. At arrival, we thought it was not clean as floor was dirty, there was hair on the sheets, dirty dishes put away and the list goes on. Our biggest issue of our stay was the security of the place. There is no way to lock the door from the inside and the only way to get inside the front door is put a long digit code in to unlock the door and enter. On our last night, 3:45 AM, we were awaken by our dog barking uncontrollably. We woke up to find the front door open an inch. I know the door was shut firmly as we double checked before going to bed. Someone was trying to come in that either knew the code or was able to get the key. Our dog scared someone off. This is disbursing and not ok as this will be reported. Owners need to be changing those codes and also it’s necessary to put a dead bolt on the inside of the door for additional security.

Simple cottage in a great location
My husband and I stayed during Thanksgiving week with 2 adult friends and 2 dogs. The cottage is located a little way from the main area of town and is on a quiet street. Walk out the front door, over the dune and you are on the beach. Great location! The cottage is comfortable and worked for what we needed. It is a bit small for 4 adults but with 2 bathrooms was adequate for our needs. It is equipped with all the basics you need for a trip to the beach. The accommodations are comfortable and simple but could use some updates. Cleanliness was a bit of an issue, but the property management company was quick to respond and offer to fix the problems. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again if we are traveling with our dogs as the location can’t be beat.

Amazing location!
I came to the coast for a job interview, and brought my dog, so I didn't want to stay in a hotel or condo. The house is perfect for the beach, it's a little funky, but had nice upgrades where you would want them. The en-suite bathroom had what looked to be a brand new shower with great water pressure and heated floors! The kitchen had all I needed and the pans were nice, and clean. The best part was the beach path right outside the front door. It rained like crazy, but we didn't care, there are miles of beach at your doorstep, and we took advantage of it. I would definitely stay here again, the location can't be beat, it was quiet (probably not so much in summer), and it was just what I needed.

Perfect Spot
Talk about perfect location! Literally right on the beach. Walk out the front door and miles of sandy beach are at ur feet. The house was a great size for 2 adults and two little kids (4 and 6). The fresh ocean breezes were priceless. The unit has AC which was awesome on the two days it hit over 85, however u barely need it…the breezes are so refreshing. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and have everything you need. The seating is comfortable and plenty of it. The area is so quiet and without all the crowds of Seaside. But if you want to do some extra activities, Seaside was only 45min away. We did the Aquarium and the Carousel at Seaside for one day. In Rockaway, the Pizza place is only 5 min drive. Pretty good. Small local grocery stores (15 min away) had enough to make breakfast lunch and dinner for the week. The little downtown area was adorable. The Pirate ship park was a hit for the kids. Cute stores and ice cream parlor were great, 5min drive. Overall the house was perfect for 2 adults or a small family. Great listing. Rockaway was a dream and our little house had everything to make our stay a delight.

Location, Location, Location!
This property is located within steps of a pristine beach! It is at the end of the block so is quiet (and dark at night). You can see the stars! The master bedroom, bathrooms and kitchen are quite nice. The living room is smaller than it appears in pictures. This place is especially nice for someone whose focus is on the beach. Very dog friendly!
