Magical Nest Hideaway

We are located about 1-1.5 miles west of Mayo Clinic. You'll find us located in a beautiful, quiet and secluded neighborhood. We have a private entrance, a staircase and path to your lovely hideaway. The wooded area behind our home has lots of wildlife. It is not uncommon to see deer in the backyard, as many as six at one time! Sometimes a group of turkeys will feed under our deck, you can watch them just outside the windows of your studio apartment. We are often told of how beautiful and peaceful it is here. There is a covered patio and furniture to relax on in the evenings.

We stayed here for 4 nights recently and loved it. It was so quiet and relaxing. My husband had surgery at the mayo and had to stay in town for a couple days afterwards. The mayo is about a 4 to 5 min drive. I would definitely stay again. We also saw a family of 3 deer right outside our window

This was a wonderful place to stay for my appointment at Mayo. Nicely furnished and comfortable. Safe, walkable neighborhood. Apache Mall, grocery stores and restaurants minutes away. I'm so glad I stayed here instead of a hotel.

We loved this adorable little VRBO! It was so cute, cozy, and clean! Gregg and his wife were so friendly and great to rent from they really made us feel welcome! It was a perfect stay for just the two of us. The back yard is also incredible! Highly recommend staying here!! Thank you Gregg for you and your wife’s extended generosity! Absolutely fantastic place in a beautiful neighbourhood with wonderful host.
Beautiful well appointed property, everything that was needed for a two week stay was at hand. I visited from Scotland for a two week placement at the Mayo Clinic and could not have been happier with the accommodation.

A very lovely and well appointed place in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Was very close to Mayo. *Note not handicapped accessible as there are some steep stairs to the entrance but was fine for us. Very communicative host. Would definitely book again!

I found this location safe, restful, peaceful, and comfortable. The owners were appropriately helpful, yet allowed us space as we needed and wanted. The view from our door was lovely and relaxing. One morning coming out there were a couple deer close by to quietly watch. We also heard some wild turkeys in the area. It was a great place to stay that provided a relaxing environment, yet allowed for some cooking in the place at a reasonable cost.

We stayed here while we had some testing done at Mayo, and it was an excellent place to stay for this. The kitchenette is adequate for cooking simple meals, and the furnishings are nice. There are steps around to the back of the house where the apartment is, so if you are having major surgery, this may not be a good fit for that purpose, but otherwise, it is an excellent place to stay.

I could not have chosen a better place to stay for my trip to Mayo. It was a perfect alternative to a hotel as it has a full kitchen and it was more comfortable. Greg was amazing to work with, he respected our privacy but was available whenever we needed him. I would highly recommend if you need a place to stay in Rochester.

A nice, tidy place.
I was surprised by the 14 steps down to the apartment, without handrail. Not a big deal for most people, but I’m in Rochester for Mayo to work on my knees. I managed, tho. It’s a very pleasant unit. I felt safe and comfortable there.

Immaculate lodging and friendly host. Beautiful area in Rochester; however, I would stay in a place closer Mayo Clinic. I do not drive so I took a cab which took some time to get back and forth although15 -20 minutes of travel time once the car would arrive. The host was kind enough to take from his place one of the days I spent there, which was very kind of him. The lodging is very quiet and restful. The one major problem with a person with disabilities is the stair case is outside, with several and modestly steep with long and wide steps with a gravel like feeling material and no railing on both sides which could pose a hazard to people with walkers or wheelchair. I was kindly aided up and downstairs by the host which was another point of hospitality I experienced. It would be more of significant hazard to a person in the winter months and with a lot of precipitation. All in all it was a wonderful stay. I would recommend it very highly for persons with no physical or seeing diseases
