"The overall rating is 3 stars, on account of the outstanding location to one of the island's nicest beach areas and exemplary service from the host who is simply outstanding. However the small details added up and so many of them were missing that it dropped to a 3. Had these been there, it would have been a 4 rating for sure, but it will never achieve 5 star status until there is air con in the main living room area. During the Mauritian summer it was dangerously hot in the TV/dining/kitchen...

"The bungalow has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. Dominique and Gilbert were the most gracious hosts. We stayed at the bungalow for 3 weeks and enjoyed every moment. There was even a variety of drinks left for us in the fridge. No request was an inconvenience for them. The establishment is spacious and clean with more than enough towels and linen. "We had a wonderful stay at the Bay Villa, which we can thoroughly recommend. The villa is big and has a wonderful view on the ocean, and since no other guests were around, we had the shared infinity pool to ourselves, which was great. Isabelle was very helpful and looked after us all the time, giving us tips for excursions, restaurants etc. We really enjoyed our stay!"
