"Second time staying at this hotel and we weren’t disappointed coming back. The hotel itself is somewhat dated, but the location, with the views over Etna and the fantastic pool and beach area are fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful too…. all good! "

"Great view. It was possible to park in the big public parking garage and walk up the stairs in the back of the garage up to the hotel (if you are in shape, otherwise take the free bus). We found this useful. Also everything you want to see and do in Taormina is easy to walk to from this location."

"The hotel was beautiful, clean, and in a great location. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and gave us great recommendations. It was our honeymoon and they upgraded our suite, the room was immaculate and the view was stunning. Giuseppe at the front desk was awesome. The food was delicious. The weather was rainy but we still had an amazing time. 10/10 honeymoon."

"My wife and I just returned from a week-long stay at the Mazzaro sea Palace. We were captivated by everything about the resort, but most notably the superior quality of the staff. "The location, overlooking the Mediterranean sea was absolutely amazing. New Years Dinner at the hotel? Better Impossible.. but the best part of staying at the Metropole was the service, incredibly friendly, happy Staff, Kudos for Angelique and Giuseppina. Highly recommend staying at the Metropole!! "I upgraded to one of the studios which was a new experience for me but I enjoyed the view, the privacy, and having access to a kitchenette where I could keep snacks and whatnot. Maybe because they were refurbishing, but I was disappointed that there wasn’t a restaurant or bar on site to get a quick breakfast. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating."

"Comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Well located for ferry port and train station, with tram to both for the less energetic. I checked in late Sunday afternoon which meant reception was not staffed, but intercom provided all information to get in and access key card. Very comfortable bed and perfect pillows. Shower was small, but then I'm quite large! Water temperature regulation was very sensitive. Overall a good stop over"

"We loved our stay at Villa Margherita from beginning to end. The on-site caretaker, Natale, was as helpful and generous as the other reviews captured, without being intrusive in the slightest. We used the pool daily, walked down into town for pastries and shopping, and were even treated to a pasta-making class by Chef Nanni, who lives up the hill. And those views! You build your day around sunrise and sunset because you don't want to miss them."

"Great hotel and the restaurant was outstanding. High recommend anyone who is looking to take the ferry to Messina the hotel is just a few steps away from the ferry option. Metro is close by for further discovery of the city. Hotel staff willing to assist and recommend. Outstanding crew!"

"The room itself was okay, if very bare, and there was no information about anything. Although there was a fridge for our use (and some bottled water provided) there was no kettle and no access to the kitchen until breakfast time the next day, so we couldn't make tea. We were admitted to the building when we arrived, but not welcomed. Reception desk was unstaffed, nobody around to greet us or give us any information. The building looked quite neglected. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good."

"It was very pleasnt stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a shuttle which was very helpuful to go into the town. The pools are very clen. Acess to seaside from the hotel was great idea which allows swimming or walking by the beach."
