We never tired of the wonderful views from the house, the birdsong, the scents pf wild flowers and the ambience of the ancient village. The 15 minute drive down a steep & winding road may challenge a less experienced driver. We loved the local markets and the thermal baths in Bagni di Lucca and walking in the mountains....

Alessandro (the owner) was wonderful - charming and helpful but also discreet, coming early in the morning to clean the pool each day without disturbing his slumbering guests! When we arrived there was an issue with the wi-fi but Alessandro sorted it out and came back the next morning with a brand new router. "A comfortable house with all the amenities. Excellent hosts (Davide and his father) who are always available, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Locals prepared dinner two nights - excellent. Mid-stay cleaning was thorough. And the house cat provided warm welcomes every morning. The 30-minute drive from Pistoia is exciting. A very winding, curvy assent.
