"The room was lovely, spacious and overlooking the water. The issue was the WiFi was down and I didn’t have cell coverage, so communication was difficult. "

Calais Crossing B&B

2.5 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (46)
"The property owner never returned my call to get the access code to the front door from 5 days prior to my visit and only after I got Expedia to call her did I get a text from her saying she told Expedia that her place was vandalized and was closed for the summer. When I texted her back WHY SHE NEVER RESPONDED TO MY CALL but instead left me hanging I got no text response back. And Expedia is to blame too if her listing REMAINS UP"

We caught a sunrise at West Quoddy Head Lighthouse and explored Cobscook Shores and points around Lubec and the Bold Coast. We spent about 1/2 the time there just "being" at...

"We needed a place to collapse and reset! This was perfect! Secluded and private with a beautiful sandy beach overlooking the lake. Not having to transport our own kayaks was a great plus; kayaks in good shape. The light over the main dining table was not working, as well as a few electric outlets -- we bought a lantern at Walmart in Calais and did just fine. Got a few really cold showers -- finally figured out one of us needed to shower in the am and the other in the pm to get 2 hot...
