"Hotel is clean and bed is comfortble, if decor is slightly shabby. It is fine for an overnight stay when on a journey. Handy for Les Sables d'Olonne which is a nice port with good restaurants. We arrived late so the restaurant was closed but the hotel has a late check in which is useful."

We used it for a one night stay (as a break in a long journey) and we arrived fairly late in the day, we learned later,after the time the reception normally closed but the staff were there to welcome us. "The hotel was convenient for the route we were on. The receptionist was friendly. The room was clean and tidy but minimalist. The room was small with bed against the wall so accessible from one side only. The bed itself was comfortable. Being convenient for the route it was also noisy all night if you are a light sleeper ear plugs would help. But it was cheap! "

"Arrived at the end of the season when the region was very quiet, so some amenities closed. In full season there would have been lots to do including the floral park next door. Castle has an interesting history and ornate facade and is complete with Rapunzel tower and grand salon. Our room was up high with a pleasant view of the drive. Owners are developing and has lots of potential. Owner keen to please. Calm and relaxing environment."
