"What a wonderful magical place! This is the second camp we have stayed at in Merzouga and this one was a much different experience — private, quiet, beautiful and peaceful. The staff was excellent, attentive to every need. Meals were served one on one, and it was some of the best food we’ve had in all of Morocco. "It was Dec so a little too cold in the desert for a comfortable sleep. They enough provided enough quilts but when the bed is cold, it is cold :-) They had warm running water, bathrooms were clean and well equipped. They do not take credit cards so be prepared to carry cash. The owner met us in the city afterwards, we had to stand in line, withdraw money multiple times from the ATM to give him cash. He was very friendly but the process took away time from our schedule. "

"Camels, and 4X4’s, luxury and serenity. The camp had it all. It was the perfect experience and one I truly hope to experience again. We spent 2 nights at the camp and I am so glad that we did, one just would not be enough. Although the food, surroundings, stargazing, camel rides, and four wheeling through the dunes are amazing, the best part of Horaz is the wonderful, warm staff. Thank you Alí and everyone else for giving us a memorable few days in Africa!"

"The Sahara Garden that I stayed is truly not just a Hotel, it is like a premium resort right in the Dunes of Sahara Desert and natural Oasis. It has amenities like multiple restaurants, swimming pool, sit down locations, options to rent Jeep or 4x4 vehicles and rent quads etc. The food(lunch/dinner) was great as well as breakfast. A must place to visit in a secluded area of Morocco. The only thing that I think they can add is a soap/shampoo holder in the shower room."

"The photos are simply untrue. The camp is in poor condition - broken chairs & lanterns; blankets thrown about; garbage strewn here & there. There is only one outlet in each tent and electricity was not always available. We had less than five minutes of hot water over 48 hours. Often one teenager was the only staff on site, and we had to communicate using Google translate, as the adults simply were not around.
