Blue Lake Cozy Cabin, situated on 3 acres, 5 min walk to lake! Mountain views!

Wonderful cozy wood cabin, we call Blue Lake Cabin on over a 3 acre wooded lot at the Preserve in Johnson's Creek on the southwest side of Lookout Mountain in Rising Fawn, GA. We are just 35 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, but located in the mountains in a quiet retreat!

This wonderful cabin is at Lookout Mountain in a 2800 acres Preserve! Renting the cabin gives you access to multiple fishing lakes that back up to Johnson Lake. There are miles of hiking possibilities and creeks to explore. We are 35 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, the Tennessee Aquarium, Rock City and Ruby Falls. We are 15 minutes from the famous Canyon Grill restaurant and Cloud land Canyon State Park and many more outdoor activities! We are 20 minutes from Mentone. We are a hour away from the Sequatchie River in Dunlap, GA where you can canoe in the river. There is also a fun drive-in theatre in Trenton, GA just 15 minutes away!

The cabin has beautiful mountain and lake views at the Preserve. This1200 sq ft, one level cabin on over 3 acres has full length front and back covered porches. The porches are a prefect place for relaxing in cedar chairs and love seat! This cabin sleeps up to 6 people, with 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths and a queen pull out sofa in the living room.

There front bedroom has a full size bed and is located just off the living room. The Master bedroom has a king size bed and half bathroom. The full bathroom is in the hall from the living room to master bathroom. The dining table is just off the living room and the full kitchen is well stocked and looks out into the beautiful back yard with the Blue Lake and mountains in view! There is a full washer and dryer as well! There is also a flat screen TV (40") with fiber optic cable and Blue Ray player in the living room. There is a TV in the master bedroom as well. A gas Weber grill is also provided for your use. Fiber optic internet is available.

Fishing is allowed on any of the 4 lakes within the Preserve. Just bring your own fishing supplies. Horseback riding is available from a nearby equestrian center. We
will be happy to provide further information if you are interested.

A full price cleaning fee ($60) is charged for less than 3 nights.

Nice stay close to state park
Nice place, clean and convenient to Cloudland Canyon S.P. and caves in area. Cabin had most things needed in the kitchen and the laundry was super convenient. Owners were easy to work with and no surprises with the rental.

We had a great time at your cabin. I love the area .the cabin was so clean and very well stocked . But the only problem was the water pressure wouldn't allow me to get a shower. Other than that everything was great.

Overall this place was great for our family of 4. The kids enjoyed seeing fireflies at night, playing in the yard and exploring the surrounding area. The house was cozy and had all things needed for cooking and cleaning. Beds were comfortable. Only gave 4 stars on cleanliness bc of outdoor area wasn’t wiped down everything else was fine. Would definitely come back and stay. Was easy to get to and 20-30 to rock city and ruby falls.

Perfect nature hideaway for Father/Daughter time
Wow! A little off the beaten path, this was a gem in the Georgia wilderness! House was immaculate, had everything you could need and the location couldn’t be beat! Beautiful views, several pond/ lakes filled with fish, gorgeous scenery, Sophia was communicative and made the entire process easy. Offered some suggestions for activities( we opted for the drive in theater, eat before you go) and provided everything we could have thought to ask for. The whole preserve is rustic wilderness, complete with some gravel country roads and the charming cabin with beautiful details fit right in. We will definitely be back. Can’t recommend this enough!

Holiday Haven
From the moment we walked in, this little cabin in the woods enchanted our family of five. We checked in the day after Christmas and the owners had decorated it for the winter holidays; with plaid plates, a fir tree and other cute details. There was a spot for everything in the house and the size was a good fit, especially because the spacious property and fire pit area gave us plenty of space to play and enjoy the scenery. The drive to Chattanooga - the Lookout Mountain tourist spots and downtown eats - was easy and uncomplicated. Also, these Southern city kids got to see deer and snow!

We enjoyed our get away to this part of Georgia. The area was beautiful, quiet and remote and had easy access to Chattanooga and great restaurants. We enjoyed walking down the road some and were able to see some wildlife. But we were disappointed as the cabin looked different from the pictures. Although the inside was clean and nicely decorated the linens and kitchen towels needed refreshing. Outside porches were dirty and unkempt. The shower was a trickle and did not work properly. I would inquire about updates prior to booking if considering this property.

Place of Peace
I have traveled extensively and been to many beautiful sites. This place is certainly one of the most serene and peaceful I have seen. The cabin is located in a valley, surrounded by mountains...lake...wild fields...horses... May be a few cars will pass on the nearby road within the day, may be not...may be you will see another soul in the valley...may be you won't...The whole family enjoyed interacting with the horses (who run to greet you by the fence as soon as they see you)...hiking in the valley...seating on the porch with a cup of coffee in the morning watching the fog slowly disappear to reveal the sparkling lake .... The cabin itself is very cute, clean and functional...it has everything you need to feel cozy and not want to leave...The owner was very responsive and helpful. Definitely keeping this cabin on the list of top favorites!

Overall we loved the place and location. This was our second time being there. Only thing that bothered me was I had mentioned we wanted to use fire pit. I wish the caretaker had removed the large ant bed that cover one side and all under neath. We cleaned and several bites later got a fire started and got to enjoy it

Cabin in the mountains
If you like seclusion this is the property. If you want a large town a few miles away with a lot of activities this is not the place. But if you don't mind driving 35 minutes to Chattanooga for some larger town experience this is the place. We like the outdoors and away from people. It fit us perfectly.
