This is a lovely old Inn. We found that there was not good lighting to read in our room and just one chair. As the weather was poor It would have been nice to spend time reading. Ther is a couch downstairs that we could have used.
This inn was a convenient location to the running event we were participating in- Moosalamoo Ultra. Great young couple who are running it. Very clean and hospitable. I would just suggest mini fridges in the rooms and keypad door locks so the scenario of locking a key in a room is a non-issue. Makes life easier for everyone! Charming place and definitely would recommend.
Lovely hosts, great breakfast and fabulous location for views and hiking nearby

It was nicely situated in the wooded hilly area near the creek. It was down the road from Middlebury which is a lovely quiet town. It was nice to be outside town in the historic house and easily drive in to towns nearby.
Chris, the owner of the inn, is a walking historian and a delight to talk to. The inn is nestled in the wooded beauty of the Green Mountain National Park with trails nearby and the campus of Middlebury College within minutes.
We were welcomed by Chris with a friendly Hello and a smile. He took such great care of us and made sure our every request was taken care of including a great recommendation for dinner nearby at Fire & Ice. We look forward to coming back again!
I so enjoyed my stay! My room and bed in the historic Inn were very very comfortable. The proprietor takes his role as host very seriously and offers very generous and helpful stories and ideas for enjoying the area. The food was perfect, fresh and made with love.
Our stay was comfortable. We were received late evening and accommodated right away. We were taken care of, as promised. We were introduced to the area and help was provided about tourism and food facilities.
We gladly recommend this small Inn that remains in your thoughts as a favorable experience.
Our room was pretty and really comfortable, and Chris is a gracious host who is knowledgeable about the area. He is also a great cook ... breakfast was delicious!
Chris, the owner, is such kind and lovely person who made every effort to ensure we had the best visit possible. The breakfasts were delicious to say the least.
