Delicious newly renovated cottage near the sea a, where you can get by walking for a few minutes on foot or by car. The house, completely independent, has a beautiful sea view and a delightful garden with deckchairs and barbecue. The house is very comfortable and equipped with all comforts including washing machine, dishwasher, air conditioning in the bedroom and television (even if you don't need it!) and the Wi fy.
In the living room there is a queen-size bed. The house is livable both in summer and in winter by having a wood-burning stove in the living room and the hot and cold air in the bedroom. The bathroom is large with a very comfortable shower. The garden has a spectacular view, deck chairs and a table to eat under a beautiful pergola. At guests' disposal there is always a well-stocked vegetable garden and seasonal fruit, avocados, mangoes, oranges, lemons, apricots, medlars and figs, to be picked from the trees. Small pool for children or for those who don't want to go to the beach. The 'Praiola' beach, below the house, is not private. It is made up of pebbles of various sizes but is little frequented because public access is very inconvenient. A wonderful terrace with a view of both the sea and Mount Etna will provide you with unforgettable sunsets. The house is well heated, has a fireplace in the living room and a heat pump in the master bedroom. The music of the waves and the smell of the sea will delight your stay. You will find everything you need for the beach in a reed house. In the season of the orange blossom, the citrus blossom, the scent will be irresistible, but each season will surprise you: in winter the oranges are ready, in autumn the mangoes so many summer fruits. Carrubba, the village, is halfway between Catania and Taormina, Giarre is about 5 km away. Etna, the volcano, can be reached in about half an hour and can be seen from the house. Its favourable geographic location, with the motorway just a few kilometres away, makes it easy to reach famous places such as Taormina, Acireale, Catania, Syracuse, Piazza Armerina and to make magnificent excursions to the suggestive 'Alcantara Gorge' and Mount Etna (bring heavy stuff) . I recommend this to families and groups of friends who want to spend a holiday immersed in nature and who want a base from which to discover Sicily and its wonders.
