"Our team of 15 teachers stayed for one night while up North on a professional development weekend. The house was a convenient location and a good size. Our only disappointment was that some rooms were locked meaning that our teachers had to share beds. We had anticipated that the entire house would be available to us and therefore extra beds and bedrooms in the cottage. Other than that we had a lovely stay. "We had a wonderful stay at the Bourne House. The history of how it came to Whangerei was very interesting. Accommodations were excellent, extremely spacious. It was a bonus to have a pool and hot tub and they were both very nice. Views were hard to beat (and we had seen plenty of good views after 3 weeks in NZ). Andy and Leslie were wonderful hosts and very helpful in telling us about things to see in the area. Would highly recommend staying here. I just wish we could have stayed longer. *...
