Incredible hostess, took very good care of us. The bathroom was very clean and updated, best shower I had in Italy. Breakfast was great, they take your order the night before so as not to waste food. Would definitely stay there again if visiting Cinque Terre.

This Hotel is the hidden gem of Liguria! Excellent location, quiet, extremely clean and comfortable. Great parking areas and walking distance to the beach,trails,train stations etc. Antonella, owner and operator is a sweet Italian lady that will leave you in aw. We loved Hotel Il Saraceno!! This beautiful and peaceful hotel in Volastra, high above Manarola is easily accessible by shuttle bus that runs almost continuously. We loved everything—the decor, the quiet, the cleanliness, the breakfast, the patio—but our favorite was Antonella, the proprietor. She is amazing! Her warmth, efficiency and charm are endearing! Plus, she speaks perfect English!

Great Hotel! Antoinella was a perfect host. She gave us all the information we needed to get the bus down to the nearest of the 5 villages - Manorola - and to get the most out of our stay. Hotel was clean and comfortable with easy onsite parking. The bus stop was across the road and buses left regularly all day and evening. It was nice to have a place to retreat to away from the hustle and bustle of Cinque Terre. The room was clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. We had a wonderful meal in a local restaurant near the hotel in Volastra - Locunda Tiabuscion

A good place away from the crowd!
The property is cozy away from all the crowds of 5 terre! Just want to highlight that the property is not technically on the 5 villages. It’s in a nice small village a bus ride away from the train station. The buses are usually every 45 minutes. If you want to stay away from all the crowds then it’s perfect otherwise the commute to the train station can be a pain. The property is owned and managed by a family and they are welcoming.

Antonella was a wonderful host during our two-night stay. She provided a delicious, made to order breakfast on both mornings and gave us very helpful tips re how to save money during our visit by purchasing the Cinque Terre Pass. Although it may seem that this property is a bit far from the five towns, the bus to Manarola stops just across the street. Buses come frequently and arrive in Manarola within minutes. The property is also close to the hiking trails and a great respite from the crowded streets of Manarola and Riomaggiore. There is also a wonderful restaurant right in Volastra -Locanda Tiabuscion. We had two meals there and both were delicious and very reasonably priced.
