"Hostal San Pedro is a nice place, I plan on returning early next year. The owners are very friendly, the property is kept clean, it's a secure and safe place. The shared kitchen has everything one needs to cook, the property has some common areas to relax or eat in. I appreciated that our room had a small refrigerator. Everything is within walking distance - less than 5 minutes to the bus station, 10 minutes from the main area where all the travel agencies are. "

"First thing to say is this hostel/hotel is a 30 minute walk to town, so I would only recommend this place to those who want to be away from town or have acess to a car for the duration of their trip. Facilites were grubby and run down, "large garden" was basically sand and dust smelling of pee and they tried to hard to be "a party hostel" by having a thumping boom box from 11pm to 12. After a day tramping around the desert crap Chilean pop music played very loudly for a handful of locals not appreciated. "Terrific stay. Great for families. Andres, the property manager is super nice and very helpful. Easier if you can speak a bit of Spanish but not necessary.
