Excellent location and staff
At first, the location and price are great, but the best part is the customer service and staff kindness, they made my stay very pleasant, I would highly recommend this hostel and personally will come back. Attitude is everything... they were caring, respectful and helpful with all my needs, without even requesting.. Good breakfast included for the price..

Nothing great, but cheap
My friend and I didn't have a great experience here, but thankfully we were in Rio with lots of things to do and see. We just needed a place to sleep and shower, so it served its purpose. The bed, sheets, and pillows were stained and dirty and were covered in hair from previous users. The rooms were hot and muggy, and the employees refused to turn the air conditioning on. Breakfast was bland. The wifi in all the rooms stopped working on the second day we were there, so the lobby area was consistently packed with people trying to connect to the internet through the lobby wifi. It was very annoying.

The only positive I can say about this hostel are that the staff are friendly. Other than that this is unfortunately one of the worst hostels I've stayed at and I don't usually like to give negative reviews, I try to look at the positive. The rooms are in poor condition. The bedroom and the bathroom both had mold on the wall. This is just unacceptable, even for a budget hostel rio. I dont know how often the rooms are cleaned but it just seemed as though it may not have been cleaned in days. The room was small, maybe could fit 4-5 beds max but they had 8. Made it really uncomfortable to try to move around in. I think that shows that it is more imporant for them to make money than to make sure their guests are comfortable. I'm sorry but I would not recommend someone to stay here under the current conditions.

No one speaks English!
I tried to contact them over the phone and they spoke no English. That is just unacceptable. English is one of the primary Languages of the World. The guy I spoke to had no idea what I was saying and I could not make out any of his Portuguese language. Terrible customer experience.

Lo que pasa es que no me hospede alli, estoy tratando desde ayer en cancelar la reserva y no me permite cancelar. Llegue con mi esposa y resulta que no tenia baño y com si nada un tipo caminando al baño casi desnudo.

Um bom hostel, porém indico somente para jovens que não ligam para organização nem barulho. Quem quer ter uma hospedagem mais tranquila, não indico. Mas quem quer conhecer pessoas de vários países e interagir com o restante dos hóspedes, o lugar é ideal. Localização muito boa.

O hostel é bem localizado, com supermercado, farmácia, ferragens tudo próximo. Porém os banheiros são muito pequenos. O mesmo lugar para fazer as necessidades é o mesmo pra tomar banho, outro ponto ruim é que as portas ficam abertas e qlqr um pode ter acesso. Mais uma coisa as tomadas ficam longe da cama

Fiz o check in já era 23:00. O rapaz da recepção me levou para um quarto e definiu uma cama. Esta cama definida para mim estava ocupada, e a pessoa ao chegar criou um sério problema. O quarto não estava bem limpo e o banheiro também não. A recepção guarda o controle do ar condicionado, que só é ligado as 22:00 e desligado as 07:00... portanto após as 7 ou você levanta, ou morre de calor. Estou acostumado a viajar com frequência para hostels, porém infelizmente este hostel ficou bem abaixo da expectativa.
