Just wanted to say I was not pleased with the service and staff their. I was a solo traveler and was treated like a second class person. Another family was there (five people) and they were treated like kings. I was not invited to a Saturday cook out. I sat on the balcony and all the employee's did not say one word to me but invited the other family. I speak a little Portuguese and from two of the employee's (one black guy and a young girl) said something about the American staying here they did not like me being there. I will never stay there again.
Saia do hostel cedo e voltava tarde.
Super cozy neighborhood amazing to walk around in. The hostel was also very nice and clean but all the lights were turned off after dark so we kind of didn't feel like guest and more like imposturers. But all and all the stay was great! Oh and by the way the laundry service price is in us$ instead of r$ which came as a surprise for us when we were paying!
À recommander !!!!! Accueil, lieux, calme,...

Friendly staff
This is definitely the best hostel of all that I stayed in while in Brazil. The room and the other areas feel more spacious than many other hostels, where it can easily get claustrophobic. It is nothing luxurious, but the place is cheap, and it is clean. Also, the staff were super friendly and welcoming, and they always tried to help and give advice. The only bad thing was that only one of them could speak English. I know a little Spanish which was very useful, but otherwise the language barrier could be a problem.
