"Our room, #3, overlooks the water/dock/boats. Entry to the room is from the bar/dining area. Fortunately, the restaurant/bar was not busy the night we stayed so noise was not a problem. The decor is of a bygone era. Service was very friendly and quick. The food was good, too."

"This is a once in a lifetime stay! The property is stunningly beautiful and located deep in the heart of what feels like one of the last "untouched" parts of coastal Costa Rica. If you want a real and authentic experience that's still safe and comfortable, I can't recommend Nereus more highly. Stuart and Jenny are AMAZING and what they've built is nothing short of an oasis. "We can’t comment a lot because we arrived late and left early for Corcovado. My Mom had an uneasy feeling about the place. The check in was easy and there was someone available to open the gate early when we left at 5am."

"The hotel is definetly not suited for the handicapped. No chair to sit in the room. The room was "overdone" with air freshener. It made my wife so sick that after 30 minutes in the room we left and went elsewhere to stay. We forfeited $111 for two nights, but two nights comfortable sleep elsewhere was a priority. "

"We booked this hotel for a quick stay after a long days bus ride. At time of booking a message was sent to management letting them know that our arrival to the hotel would be late as there was a lengthy bus ride and as the expedia app explained late check in was available as per availability whatever that means. The hotel responded a little later that late check in would not be possible and sorry for the inconvenience. Inconvenience? We were only a few hours from our destination at this point...

"Beautiful rainforest property with good birding opportunity, birds song, cicadas, and frogs, but "touristy", so the natural vibe gets ruined. It seems they cater to tour groups, so not very private or queit. Have to pay for 3 meals a day but on their schedule that's too late for serious birding and not as healthy as I'd prefer. I travel solo and do not enjoy sitting by myself or wasting time I could be out finding birds sitting in a restaurant. I go ut birding before daybreak so, lunch as late...

"Casa Mango is both a lovely property and a beautiful house. The house is extremely well equipped and has a very nicely appointed kitchen w 6 burner gas range, quality pots and pans and service for 8 with a gorgeous dining room table. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the mattresses were comfortable. The pool is spotless but could use a few more chairs and maybe a shade umbrella. The outdoor seating areas are first class.All in all a great place to stay."
