Most things are within walking distance from this cottage. It is not far to the shop and restaurant, and the hiking trails are right outside the door. Right next to the cottage you will find the starting point for the tour around Lake Sjusjø, which can be circumnavigated by pram, wheelchair and bicycle. The tour is about 8 kilometres long, and there are several places to sit down and enjoy a picnic. We also recommend trips to Mostefjell and Snørvillen. From the cabin you can cycle further into the mountains, for example along the Birkebeiner trail. If you want a long cycle tour, you can cycle along this route all the way to Rena. It is then about 92 kilometres. For shorter tours, you can simply cycle to Sjusjøen, via Nordseter and perhaps on to Lillehammer. The possibilities are endless. If you want to go fishing, the nearest fishing lake is not far away. Kroksjøen is only a short distance from the house. You can drive a little further inland by car and fish on the Åsta River. This is an amazing natural landscape that is well worth a trip. Lillehammer is only a 30-minute drive from Sjusjøen and you can find activities for young and old: Hunderfossen Family Park, Jorekstad, Maihaugen or the Olympic Museum.

Note: Please note that the toilet is located in a shed outside the cabin.
