We were excited to have our family join us in Rincón. Our plan was to get something that would be walking distance from the house to the beach. Especially, traveling with our 2 kids. Based on looking at the map, we found appeared to be exactly what we wanted, a house walking distance to the beach. Once it was close to checkin, we received the address and to our surprise the location was NOT where it was advertised on the map and it was NOT walking distance to the beach the address was a mile or so away from the beach.
I felt mislead. I’m not sure if it’s VRBO’s fault or the home owner.
The house was nice enough. However, we are a family of 6 and according to the description it would accommodate all of us. We didn’t have enough towels, plates or cups. For example - they advertised beach towels and there was 1 and 4 white bath towels. So 5 total towels for the entire house. No hand towels, no wash cloths. 5 total spoons and a 5 cup coffee maker. When we asked for extra towels, we received 3 extra towels.
We had to go out and purchase beach towels. This was our first negative experience with VRBO.
