"Stayed in a cabin for 5 nights with our 2 children. Cabins were great value for money and had everything we needed including not having to bring our own bedding or towels! Kids loved the loft bedroom. Cabin kitchen basic but more than enough to cook a decent meal with 2 ring hob and oven plus a few saucepans. Cabin bathroom was really clean with warm shower. "Would absolutely recommend this cottage. Compact, but we were 5 (3 kids 2 adults), and never felt like we were on top of each other. Right next to the water and a south facing terrace. We would go back."

However, it started with the hiccup of the VRBO description being on the wrong island (it is NOT on Ingmarsö Södra, an 8 minute walk from the ferry dock as the description is or at least was, hopefully that gets updated!). It is on Gistholmen that you need to take the Waxholmsbolaget ferry to (no need to book ahead, but depending on the day and season there might only be two potential drop-off and pick-up times). "The administration had very short hours, so it was difficult for me and my wife to get help at the front desk. The reception was cold and marginally helpful without time and pressure, in a nutshell, they avoided helpful interaction which cost me and my wife, hundreds of dollars because we had to find information and transportation in the cold. "It was my first time sleeping in a sleep box, but it worked out well for a short stay. It was difficult getting my stuff there on the shuttle and the signage was confusing but it was clean and convenient. I would do it again now that I know how to maneuver."

Brilliant airport hotel

"I can’t rate this hotel any higher, easy check in and check out, super friendly staff, comfortable bed, heated floor in the bathroom, windows are quadruple glazed so you cannot hear a thing from the airport. Incredible buffet breakfast with pastries and cooked breakfast. Delicious meals in the grocery section in reception to pick up if you arrive late. Lots of room with plugs everywhere if you want to get some work done alongside a drink or meal. Fantastic! "
