Perfect weekend getaway
The Chalet is perfect for a small group of friends to get away for a few days. The house is well appointed, the beds are super comfy, and the views unbeatable. It’s secluded while also easy to access, and near a lot of great hiking. This will be our weekend trip rental whenever we can get it!

Great stay at The Chalet
We had a fantastic time at the Chalet. The cabin was just as described, really peaceful, with great views of the mountains. We enjoyed the hot tub and using the BBQ, and will definitely come back the next time we visit the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Spring hiking getaway
Great location! Convenient to hike Old Rag and other nearby hikes. Loved the hot tub and it was perfect way to unwind after our hikes. Cute place and great morning sunrise views over the mountain.

Booked at the last minute for a short stop on a long trip. The cabin was ready and very clean. Host was exceptional accommodating our last minute booking. Views are wonderful.

Read the fine Print, towels/sheets on request only
This property did not meet the expectations I have for VRBO properties. We showed up late, around 9 PM and wanted to shower and go straight to bed, but came to find there were no towels or sheets on the beds. Upon further evaluation of the listing, there is a mention that linens are only provided upon request, and for an additional fee. This was not listed in the property description, or the Important to Know sections, rather it was buried in the Amenities, scrolling all the way to the bottom and listed in the notes section. I made this mistake, hopefully you won’t. In addition, there was no soap or shampoo provided in showers. I guess I have come to expect sheets and soap when I’m paying to rent a property, this was a major pain point for us as we started out our first night in frustration.

Great weekend escape
Great property and great location for a weekend away! Great view and cozy enough to have no reason to leave - and even if you do decide to venture out Shenandoah and Luray are both an easy drive away! Kitchen was very well stocked with cookware. Was a pleasure to stay here and would definitely stay at the Chalet again!

Weekend Getaway!
My boyfriend and I enjoyed our little birthday/weekend getaway. This was our first time getting away together and our first time at the Chalet! It was so beautiful, especially waking up to the sunrise and star gazing in the hot tub! Beautiful property, we will definitely be back in the future!

Nice quiet getaway
Nice place, clean, comfortable, quiet, easy to find using GPS, great view in autumn. Bring charcoal for weber grill, wood for outdoor fire pit. Has a gravel area by the entrance for dog to go “out” on leash. We had a relaxing time.
