Do not stay here.
Temporarily closed! So we got pushed to the Quality Inn it shares a property with. Also super disgusting. Room wasn't cleaned when we arrived, the whole building is not clean and seemed really sketchy. We did not end up staying and left immediately.

Absolutely horrific. Cigarette burns in the bedding, broken glass, black mold in the bathroom, the shower curtain was tied up with plastic bags, there were squished bugs on the walls, the smell was nauseating. I have never in my life left a hotel reservation but I did for this one. As soon as we got to the room we started calling other hotels. Thank god they hadn’t taken my card yet. I don’t understand how this plan hasn’t been shut down permanently.

Never abandoned a reservation solely on driving by the building. Blinds half ripped off windows from a short distance along with condition in general was enough to eat the $70 and drive the long distance home later that evening. Good luck if you try it.

I was appalled that the city of Richmond has not shut this place down for public health reasons. The elevators in the building for my room did not work and I was on the third floor with heavy luggage to haul up stairs. In the room, the T.V. did not work, the small refrigerator wiith a microwave sitting on top way leaning (leg on one corner missing), a fixture in gthe bathroom was literally hang down the wall like it was ripped out and just hanging there by the wires. The landing at the top of the stairs for the third floor, there was a strong smell of something like natural gas, and it was so strong, I wondered if I would wake up to the place on fire. It was horrible. There was plenty of parking available, and now I know why, no one who ever stayed in this place is coming back again, it is a HOT MESS! At the corner of the parking lot adjacent to the highway there are homeless people living on the other side of the wall. They hop the fence, and wander around when they see people. One guy approached me the morning of check-out asking for money. Expedia, you must send someone out to check this place out and IMMEDIATELY remove it from your list. This was the worse experience I have ever had and any hotel anywehre.

Roadway Inn requires a completes overhaul. My room had fist-size holes in the wall. The smoke detector was ripped off the wall. Loght fixtures did not operate. And worst of all, the bathroom tub was filthy. The entry and hall way had graffiti and reeked of smoking. Overall seemed unsafe with sketchy characters roaming around the entrance and parking lot.
