Hazel Brow House is a beautiful period country house with antique marble fireplaces, high corniced ceilings and magnificent views. Well positioned in a private location, yet within the small village of Low Row in Swaledale, and within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We're surrounded by a maze of footpaths and brilliant walks plus a great Gastro pub 5 minutes walk away.
Come and experience an amazing break or celebration, the property and grounds are ideal for birthdays, private get togethers and exclusive, bijou weddings. We hold a wedding licence so get in touch to discus your special day.
The house comfortably accommodates 16 people in spacious, well proportioned rooms.
The sitting room, dining room and snug have open fires, comfy settees and a good supply of family games and books. The dining room is ideal for special meals and we have private chefs we can put you in touch with:- please message us fr details. The snug's a great place for a bit of peace and quiet and a good book but also has a smart TV so ideal for using as a 'gaming' or movie room' or for a musical interlude as there's also a piano. The kitchen is well equipped including Aga cooker and electric oven & hob, microwave, Quooker tap, dishwasher etc. The pantry has a second fridge and a freezer with plenty of shelf space and a 2nd Belfast sink. The boot room has plenty of space for outdoor clothing and equipment, laundry and drying facilities and can double up as a bar for entertaining if required. The spacious bedrooms are as follows
First Floor:-
Bedroom 1 with en suite and 2 single beds
Bedroom 2 faces south with fantastic views and a king sized 4 poster bed
Bedroom 3 has great views, twin beds which can be 'zipped and linked' to make a Super King sized bed and a day bed which can be used as a sofa or made up into a full size single bed (please let us know how you'd like this room configuring one week before arrival)
Bedroom 4 has a king sized double bed
Bedroom 5 can be either a Super King sized bed or twin beds

The grounds consist of three patios, sloping lawns and a small securely fenced paddock to allow your dogs the freedom to roam. Please note, use of the hot tub is available as an optional extra, please message for prices. A private footpath leads down to the river where fishing is available in season. We've some great dark skies so if star gazing is something you're after, then why not book the hot tub, relax and watch out for shooting stars or make use of the outdoor firepit.
There's a garage where you can park a car or keep your bikes. We have a criss cross of spectacular walks and cycle routes right from the front door.

Bathrooms and bedrooms great, kitchen not great but adequate, dining room good with plenty of mats for the table, sitting room ok but furniture a bit shabby, utility room good with good quality white goods. Garden not good for children of all ages really, nowhere to kick a ball and so steep we couldn’t let the little ones play at all outside, not that we had the weather to do that anyway!! All in all a good house but could be better.

Excellent bedrooms and living rooms, kitchen rather small and poorly designed for size of property.
Great for adults but not safe for small children and parking a nightmare because of slopes - should be mentioned in literature.

Great stay, with large family.
Amazing location. House very comfortable, lovely decor and rooms and plenty of bathrooms. Catherine made us feel very welcome, but not intrusive. The view from the house is incredible, sheep and lamas in the next field, fabulous walks on the doorstep and a lake for dipping in! Thank you Catherine. The Simpson Family.

An absolutely brilliant place for our family reunion
10 adults, 5 children and a baby visited in January. The house was warm, comfortable and the kitchen had enough equipment to cook meals for us all. The owner, of course, couldn't control the weather...but luckily that was good as well!

Lovely house, spacious but cosy, excellent facilities.
12 of us stayed for a week, and had an excellent time. We loved the house - elegant and spacious, with good bedrooms for all of us (we've stayed in some places where there are a couple of lovely rooms but the rest are only adequate). The drawing and dining rooms were particularly appreciated. The boot room was always warm and dry when we returned from long walks - and it was so nice to be able to do varied walks direct from the house, or with the help of the Little White Bus. Cath was an excellent host - responded to our requests immediately (including a whole new oven!). We'd love to stay again.

A wonderful place with magnificent views. We loved it. The house was spacious with good amenities. The dinning room was fit for a King and allowed us to share great evening ding altogether. All bedrooms were to a high standard. Would definitely go again.

Stunning views all the mod cons.
Full disclosure I have close ties to the village of Low Row, my father was born there. The beauty of Low Row and the Dales are in my blood. But onto Hazel Brow... the property is a gem with stunning views. Breath taking! The house is lovely with period charm and modern convenience. Lots of hot water, heat on demand and a great kitchen. The owner of the property was wonderful and accommodated a very large request to use the garden for a family reunion!!! The house is great for small gatherings and large alike. I would highly recommend this house.
