I didn’t like arriving at 10am after a 600 mile drive and being told I couldn’t check in. I’ve taken this trip many time and chose to stay at this hotel. I have arrived prior to 3 pm and had no problem getting into my room. This time the front desk was staffed with somebody different and this person wasn’t as friendly, courteous, or accommodating as previous staff.

Our stay at Comfort Suites At Virginia Center Commons was a complete nightmare. I had called ahead to secure an early check-in due to our 8-hour flight for my 6-year-old’s wrestling tournament, but when we arrived, our room wasn’t ready. Hours later, they informed us they wouldn’t even have it by normal check-in time. When I spoke to the manager, she became unhinged—yelling, screaming, and even calling me the “B” word. When we finally got our room, it was disgusting—dirty towels, food in the fridge, and used feminine products in the trash. When I showed the front desk pictures, I was called a liar, screamed at again, and even witnessed another employee trying to calm the manager down as she berated him too. Another guest was having the same experience, and when I spoke to them, the manager threatened to kick my family out. This place is beyond unprofessional—avoid at all costs!

Pros: (1) Very convenient to food and entertainment, (2) the room was very clean, and (3)they have soft closing doors so you don't hear any doors slamming Cons: Even though I called to advise that I would be arriving late, they cancelled my reservation as a no-show, the bathroom vanity was damaged and unsightly, and when I requested a late checkout, they weren't willing to give me more than one hour

Very pleased with our stay. The deluxe room was very nice. Wifi worked great , very hot water. They had a refrigerator, iron, coffee pot, couch and two TVs. Very roomy to spread out. Also the free breakfast was good with a wide range of food. Definitely will stay here again.

I liked the room itself for the most part. However the curtains were weird and didn’t allow for blackout shading in the morning. The front desk didn’t convey room service details until it was too late to request them. The room didn’t include a private tub as was photographed as part of the room on Expedia. The door to the room was not secure and we learned our second day there that it could be pushed open without a key. This led to a delay in our day plans to visit the city during our stay as a result of having to wait for maintenance to come fix the door so that we could leave the room unattended.
