Nell's is a quiet, secluded spot to enjoy the beauty of nature with good company. The beautiful family history here is surpassed only by the surroundings. Nell's was once just a 200 year old log cabin that was relocated to the spot. But before Nell (my Grandmother) would move in, it had to be a little more modern.

Being a native Kentuckian born in 1922, she wasn't so enamored with old log cabins. So in the early 80's, a new section was added with lots of windows to let the beauty of the surroundings gloriously shine through.
Nell decided it was the "most beautiful place" she'd ever seen and moved from eastern Kentucky into what became known by all as "Down at Nell's". It has a special place in our hearts and we’re so glad we can keep it in our family and share it with yours.
After a year of helping my parents host guests at their nearby Martin Manor, my wife and I learned something. If you have a special place and want to preserve it, the best thing to do is share it with others. By making people feel welcome and exceeding expectations, we’ve seen folks from all over the country have a great time here on the Martin Family Farm. And we’re having fun too!
