"We had 2 rooms and they were both extremely clean and so picturesque. It was a rainy night and our room was a bit chilly but fortunately my son and his girlfriend in the other room prefer a cool room we used the extra blanket in their room and had a cozy sleep. The only less comfortable part was that there was only a single pillow per person and they were a bit small. The breakfast the next morning was amazing, with so much variety and homemade goodness."

"Our arrival at the front door coincided with the manager walking out to switch on the central heating. No introductions were offered or made which left us feeling rather underwhelmed. Our room was exceptionally clean although a little tired and in need of some maintenance. The other house guests had booked through companies that specialise in walking tours and were provided with lunch packs each day. "The property was gorgeous and well-appointed. Margarida was a very friendly hostess. The room was very large and very quiet. It looked out into a large yard that had beautiful gardens and pool area. Our breakfast was extensive and generous. A great stay for off the beaten path-very relaxing. In a very nice town."

"A bit confusing at check in because the person giving us directions spoke limited English, but once inside they were very pleasant! Room was outstanding, great views and very spacious !! "

"great accommodation but SO hard to find. the directions given in the confirmation mail and googlemap is so out it is not funny. we had to ask directions on 3 occasions after we reached the spot indicated by googlemap. it would have been a lot simpler if the future guests are directed to the RTA sports ground along the same road as this is where the reception lies. also no wifi in the studio."

"Great place. Wonderfully decorated with robin’s egg blue trim, sturdy and functional furnishings. Just beautiful, the way the light streams in from the shuttered windows. Tranquil (albeit with country sounds like roosters). Peaceful. It is easy to walk into town, either along a hiking trail or along the highway, which has a sidewalk after a while. "Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans un environnement propice aux vacances et à la détente. La maison est grande, les propriétaires très gentils et aux petits soins pour nous. Ils nous ont accueillis avec des fleurs, un panier de légumes, des oeufs, des citrons.... La maison est très bien équipée. Bref il n'y a plus qu'à poser ses valises. Nous reviendrons !"

"Pictures of the property in expedia does not make justice of the beautiful place and surroundings. All rooms face the amazing Douro River. Waking up and opening the windows for the sun to come in with the river view was priceless. The nights are so peaceful and quiet. Friends and families stayed with us and loved as well. Strongly recommended if staying overnight in Pinhão - Douro Valley"

"We had an excellent time at Torel Quinta da Vacaria. They exceeded our expectations. This place truly is luxurious with a full spa. There is an outdoor pool and indoor pool. Steam rooms are open to all resort guests. The free breakfast was delicious with iberian ham included. The on site vineyard wine tasting was great too. Nice museum-like display told the history of douro valley vineyards."
