Lost Lakehouse Quiet Waterfront Beach Sugar Camp

Welcome to Running's Lost Lakehouse, hosted by Simple Life Rentals! Enjoy Lost Lake and beautiful views from this relaxing cottage with modern amenities in the centrally located northwoods town of Sugar Camp! Built in 2014 on the grounds that used to be Running's Campground, guests will enjoy the quiet lake, which is great for fishing and swimming, and the peaceful, relaxing vibe. This open-concept home features a full kitchen and dining area, living room, TV with Roku (No cable or live broadcast), 2 bedrooms each with a queen size bed, 1.5 bathrooms, plus laundry. Guests can enjoy the outdoors at the sandy beach, grilling, and using the bonfire pit on the property. Sip your morning coffee on the large porch while taking in the beautiful lake shore.

Bring or rent paddleboards and kayaks--this is the perfect lake for them. While the lake allows motors, there's no traffic on this lake. If you want some hustle and bustle, the Three Lakes Chain and Sugar Camp Chain are a close drive and there's room to bring your boat and trailer in the driveway. Fishing is GREAT on Lost Lake as well if you want to put your boat in here. There are large Northern and lots of pan fish to be caught.

In the winter months, enjoy a fresh northwoods snowfall, head out to the lake to for some ice fishing or hit the trails with your snowmobile. Snowmobile trails are located less than 1/8 mile from the cabin with easy access to the trails. Escape to see all that the Wisconsin Northwoods has to offer!

Rhinelander, Three Lakes, and Eagle River are all within 15 minutes drive.

Nice house in a quiet picturesque lakefront location. The house is nice but has a slow shower drain and a bath fan not working, otherwise in good shape.

Great house, bad access to pier and stairs to house.
We found in difficult entering and exiting. There were no hand rails on the staircases leading to the entrances.

Awesome swimming area for young kids
Great rental for our family with kids aged 4 and 11. House was well provisioned. We were a bit confused on which beach to use. The correct one is slightly down the road, not the boat dock directly across from the house. Its a very small sand beach but AWESOME swimming area for younger kids. Nice and shallow. Saw/heard bald eagles, ravens, loons, herons, deer. Lake is lovely. Not a single motor the whole week. We enjoyed canoeing the perimeter. You can hear road noise from the nearby highway, but otherwise very peaceful.

Great getaway
We had a blast! Exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, peaceful place to unplug and hang with the kids. We had older children (24, 20, & 13) and they really enjoyed it. The lake was awesome and we spent a whole day floating on our inflatable island. We also enjoyed down town Rhinelander and visiting the Rhinelander brewery.. got lots of pictures with all the hodag’s too! The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Great vacation!

Girls weekend
Location was nice- close to a few towns so going out for dinner was easy and convenient. A winery was close and we had a few shops to stop and explore. The beach area was nice and we were able to use it. We were a little unsure initially if we had the right spot as there was a family there and we felt awkward- in case it wasn’t the beach we were supposed to access. But the water was nice and it was relaxing. Only thing I would say is the grill needed to be replaced, it was rusty so I wasn’t comfortable putting food on it to grill. I cleaned it but it should just be tossed. Overall nice place to stay and would happily stay there again.
