Avid birdwatchers can get their fill with the Gilfach Nature Reserve (3.5 miles), while the Red Kite Feeding Centre is a mere 5.5 miles away. Visit Llanidloes the source of river seven and Hafren Forest which has a range of waterfall walks. The Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells (15 miles) boasts a golf club, a Heritage Trail and its namesake spa facilities.
