"We are a group of five friends who planned this trip almost two years ago. We had to pick off season due to our schedules. The weather/wind in Iceland was the worst it has been in 10 years, and we briefly lost power. Our host brought us a generator, coffee, pastries, and kept us updated every step. They checked in on us often and responded immediately to any questions or concerns. They have a very detailed book on property with instructions for everything. "We loved our stay at this cottage in Iceland. It was a perfect spot for our exploring to Snæfellsnes. The cottage was wonderfully equipped with everything we needed and all instructions were clear and easy to follow. We settled right in. My teenager loved the loft and having the cool windows. Iceland is a long way from home for us but we would come back in a heartbeat."

"Nice cottage under the mountain. Easy access, about 1.5 hours from Keflavik Airport by car. Very good option for a stopover to west or north of Iceland."

"Two very comfortable houses within a quick walk from each other. The location well away from town and within easy day trips from Snaefellsnes peninsula and golden circle worked great for us. Great aurora on 2 nights. Hosts were very responsive to questions and provided great info about the whole region. "

"This cabin makes great use of space and we had a wonderful time with our 2 kids. The hot tub has an amazing view and although there are nearby cabins, it felt very peaceful."

"We so enjoyed staying in this lovely house! We visited in August and were very lucky with the weather, so were able to take advantage of the large deck and its amazing views. We traveled with another couple, and the house was a perfect size for the four of us. There are two very comfortable bedrooms (with amazing views), a cozy living area and kitchen/dining area that are all one space, and a little study off the living area. "Stayed in small camping pod and loved it. Loved the atmosphere there. Overall, much greater than I expected, and I already was excited for the stay. the restaurant overlooking the waterfalls and river, the troll garden stroll, the hot tubs. All superb. It is in a remote area and provided us an excellent view of the northern lights, which we watched from the hot tub. Ideal experience, I recommend giving it a shot. "

Would definitely stay again!

"Everything was great for our needs. It was our last night in Iceland before flying back to Florida. The beds were comfortable and the room spacious. The dining room was beautiful and we had dinner and drinks afterward in the bar. The art on the walls throughout was fantastic and the experience pleasant. "

"We stayed here for 1 night. We reached a bit after dark and it was our first night in Iceland. The guy at the reception did not understand much English. It was very dark as there is no light pollution. It would have been helpful if he had come with us to show the room, as we had to cross a little bridge after parking our car and we were fumbling in the dark. It is not far from the parking, or the main building, but he just gave us the keys and pointed outside, rather than just take the 5 min walk and show us the room. The breakfast was adequate and the view was good from the breakfast cafe. We did not see the northern lights that night, but the place can be great to see the northern lights. The cafe has microwave, and it is possible that they let you warm your own food there. The room had the coffee maker only. "
