From the shoe rack by the door (to keep the floors clean throughout our stay, we took off our shoes... "Amazing home, modern and well kept, with stunning views of the mountains and a great place for viewing the aurora borealis. A beautiful deck and hot tub, and a cute guest house with half bath a bit separate from the main house. A fireplace in the living room was very cozy. "We are a group of five friends who planned this trip almost two years ago. We had to pick off season due to our schedules. The weather/wind in Iceland was the worst it has been in 10 years, and we briefly lost power. Our host brought us a generator, coffee, pastries, and kept us updated every step. They checked in on us often and responded immediately to any questions or concerns. They have a very detailed book on property with instructions for everything. "Beautiful homes; we would definitely return! 10 of us enjoyed our stay at these two lovely homes. Both houses were clean, spacious, and well stocked. The windows in the main house were especially wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and dishes for our large group to have home cooked meals at the large table. We had trouble getting the lock box open (likely frozen shut) and the key to the second cottage was tricky / sticky and needed some extra finesse to get in/out....

"We are parents and 2 adult children. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and well thought out with all necessary needs. It is very quiet and lovely for those who are not city folks. "Beautiful, cozy, perfect little cottage for our family of 5. With a spectacular view of the river and mountains from every room, we enjoyed the hot tub late into the night. Perfectly clean, warm and comfortable beds. A hidden gem!! "

"Stayed in small camping pod and loved it. Loved the atmosphere there. Overall, much greater than I expected, and I already was excited for the stay. the restaurant overlooking the waterfalls and river, the troll garden stroll, the hot tubs. All superb. It is in a remote area and provided us an excellent view of the northern lights, which we watched from the hot tub. Ideal experience, I recommend giving it a shot. "

"We stayed here for 1 night. We reached a bit after dark and it was our first night in Iceland. The guy at the reception did not understand much English. It was very dark as there is no light pollution. It would have been helpful if he had come with us to show the room, as we had to cross a little bridge after parking our car and we were fumbling in the dark. It is not far from the parking, or the main building, but he just gave us the keys and pointed outside, rather than just take the 5 min walk and show us the room. The breakfast was adequate and the view was good from the breakfast cafe. We did not see the northern lights that night, but the place can be great to see the northern lights. The cafe has microwave, and it is possible that they let you warm your own food there. The room had the coffee maker only. "
