Bovis Cottage is a Grade II listed hideaway tucked away just off the high street in Southwold is a wonderful place for a family stay, or a romantic getaway for a couple. Once part of a farm, this terraced cottage retains a number of original features such as the spiral staircases.
Bovis Cottage comprises of an open-plan living and dining area at the front of the cottage, with the kitchen at the back. The bathroom is located off the utility area downstairs and offers a bath with shower over, wash basin and WC. A lovely garden room located at the back of the house enjoys afternoon sunlight.
The cottage has a number of features which date back to when it was built. A spiral staircase leads up to the master bedroom. Hosting a double bed, this bedroom offers plenty of storage space and features a window looking out onto Barnaby Green. A further spiral staircase leads to the bedroom two in the eaves of the second floor. With twin single beds and storage on the landing, this quirky space makes a charming, cosy room for children.
Outside, there is an enclosed rear garden with seating. There is parking to the side along Spinner's Lane but this is not designated for Bovis Cottage. Further parking is available on the common. The rear garden can be accessed via a right of way through two other gardens from Spinner's Lane but there is no right of way past Bovis Cottage and the rear garden is enclosed. Spinner's Lane has direct access out onto the common and down to the harbour.
