effort required to bring house up to standard advertised
very good location, very effective detached base for holiday in the area, however important issues: we seem to have been first guests for a long time - house had been locked up and clearly musty. I suffered asthmatic symptoms from this and some kind of chemical used to clean carpet. Hoover was un-emptied and chock full of long hairs in a mass (probably pet), all of the above meant we took 3 days of our stay ventilating and re-hoovering carpet spaces so as to ameliorate my asthmatic reaction with air de-humidifier on continuously. By time we left, the house was the delightful space it should have been from the start, well aired and clean. It was a shame that the issues above impacted our stay in what should have been a perfect accommodation given the price range.
