"Property was pretty clean, needed. A little means kind of had some rough spots, just simple, mechanical stuff like toilet seat was loose on the toilet. Simple stuff that be easy fixes, that should be taken care of but very clean and just very limited on access for like dining or whatever you need. "Staff is very friendly. Breakfast as expected- get down early to get the muffins, fruit and hard boiled eggs as they were gone quickly and not replenished. Didn’t get a good nights sleep x’s 2 nights- heater was very noisy. Our room faced the street and there was constant, audible truck noise that woke us up all night. "

"Be mindful that hotel reviews are subject to the traveller's tolerance of what they consider "acceptable". This hotel is an older property so if you are a high maintenance traveller, this is not the place for you. But then again, it's St. Anthony, not Boise. It worked perfectly for my wife and I attending a funeral. The heater worked well to keep the room warm in winter time. "We stayed at the Fishing Bear Lodge in Ashton, Idaho as a quick stop on our long trip home, & it was a cozy, comfortable place to rest for the night. The room was very clean, & we felt safe & at ease during our stay. The only issue we encountered was with checkout. "We were among the very first guests of this newly renovated motel. It is small, with small rooms and bathrooms, a classic motel in size and layout, but being renovated with funky Idaho-style decor that was pretty cool. The renovation was not complete when we stayed, and there were many small problems with the room.
