Nobody there on Wednesdays after 18:00!!! Nobody in the restaurant, bar, reception. Nobody answering the doorbell. Nobody answering phone calls! Unbelievable.

Friendly welcome
The reception is upstairs from the main entrance door although this is not obvious at first. A warm welcome was received at check in and we were escorted to our room. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant in the evening. There was a wide choice of food and drinks, the house special main was particularly tasty. It is worth noting that the hotel is a separate business from the restaurant so bills need to be settled separately and the restaurant only takes cash and the hotel accepts cards. Breakfast was good in the morning and check out was easy.

Uncomfortable and basic
We are very flexible travelers, but this hotel was not live up to the listing. We stayed for one night as we passed through the area. The place was hard to find and would have been served by better directions. The hotel was old and so we had to walk around a maze of halls to find our room which included a lot of stairs with our luggage and no help from the staff. We managed, but it was unpleasant with a family of three. The bathroom was old and tired and the beds were not very comfortable. The breakfast was not very fresh, the choices were limited. The hotel bill did not reflect the service, it was too pricey for not much comfort. We would not stay here again which is unfortunate because the area is probably worth a visit.

Unusually comfy for Germany, meal cash only!
Nice big spacious room, remarkably comfy bed for Germany; most German hotels have beds as nice as a block of concrete. They still haven't discovered pillows in Germany though. Nice staff, friendly service, very nice food but a bit of a shock at being required to pay cash for meals and drinks even though cards were accepted for the hotel stay itself. Would have been helpful if the hotel had mentioned this when we ordered or checked in. I'd go again, it is a pleasant place to stay.

The hotel is in the middle of no where, you can't reach any where unless you have a car the river view it terrible. Really it was one of the worst choose I did. I checked out the next day

Charming hotel, no phone in room
Small and charming hotel in a quiet area. The hotel is attached to a nice German restaurant and there is a bar downstairs. The local area does not have much in the way of services and attractions and the town seems to shut down fairly early. The room itself was nice, had a cabin feel to it. Nothing fancy but nothing wrong either. The major complaint I had was that there is no telephone in the room. If you're a business traveler without a cell phone, you are out of luck. There was, however, free wireless internet. Breakfast was okay and was not included in the price.

Alles in Ordnung. Mein Einzelzimmer war klein aber sehr sauber und für mich optimal. Die ruhige Lage und die ausgezeichnete Parkplatzsituation bestens, und dazu nicht nur ein sehr gutes Frühstück, sondern im Gasthaus eine ausgezeichnete Küche. Chef und Personal sehr freundlich und deshalb gerne wieder.
