We wanted a get-away that was truly restful - get away from it all and spend quality time with each other. This was the perfect location for us to do as much or as little as we wanted. Check in was easy and the property was clean and impeccably maintained.
We went on a train ride and just needed a place to lay our head at night. We did enjoy a fire both nights and the jacuzzi also. The place was easy to find and a nice little cabin.
First off our host was great at communicating. The cabin was cozy and had more than we needed. The hot tub was fantastic and the location I beautiful and secluded. 5/5
The cabin was very comfortable and peaceful. Our hosts were very helpful and had places that we could visit in the surrounding areas. Very clean and would definitely book again
Toured local waters first day enjoyed the hot tub and camp fire got up early next went found waterfalls lakes enjoyed the beautiful colors had great day found a winery. Had another night off wine hot tub camp fire grilled stakes. Got up cleaned up packed up took long way home more mountain viewing and water fall hunting.all and all we had a blast.great area will be back.
Overall good experience. Closer to the road than we were looking for. Even with distance to the road road noise was minimal and traffic was very light.
Nice little cabin, exactly what we were looking for. Very clean upon arrival and fhr host was very nice and even showed us to the cabin when we got there, late at night and couldnt find it ourselves.
The hosts were wonderful. The area is more remote so do not expect a lot of service and availability to resources. No cell connection, TV service and slow Internet. I was able to do class work that was text based and the owners had a wide array of videos. We spent the time in the hot tub, watching movies we always talked about seeing and play board games.
It was a relaxing time. We did venture out a day to go to the local Amish Market. In season vegetables and bakery items which were a nice addition to our meals.
We did lose electricity due to a local thunderstorm but as the owner said wait a couple of hours and it will return which is what happened. If you are looking for a quiet time or close to whitewater rafting and hiking its the place to be.
Had a great time staying at Hiwassee cabin! Everything we needed was there, cabin is very clean, tastefully decorated. All appliances, lights, etc. are in order. Will definitely be back! thank you!
We loved our stay here ❤ even though the cabin was right next to road it felt very private. The cabin had everything we needed and owner was very helpful and friendly. Only complaint was the sofa bed was horrible to sleep on but we made do lol overall a awesome stay and we loved the hot tub especially the kids enjoyed it lol.
