Do not stay! Started out by getting given the wrong room. After waiting an hour got to my actual room. My room hadn’t been cleaned, there was no toilet paper, the lock on the door didn’t work and the lamp was missing a bulb. It was revolting.
Room was dirty needs good deep clean whisky glass on bedside cabinet with drink in it no heating dirty bin in the bathroom with ladies ust sts in it everwhere in the room dusty bathroom towels well used needs new ones needs new quols as quilt all lumpy all rooms are on top floor 3 flights of stsirs ropm very dated needs sprucing up with deep clean its not a 7 star reveiw
Should have read the reviews for the rooms..
Only stayed the one night, won't be back.
- Room 7 looked like it was in use when I walked in.. bed was hardly made.
-Bed had bits of grit and hairs when checked.
- The Room came with a 'Private Bathroom' which was across the hall from the room.. had no bath.. was accessible to everyone staying at the hotel.. and could not be locked, meaning I had to hold my hand against the door whilst using the toilet to prevent anyone trying to join me.
- Complimentary tea and coffee.. there was a box on a cabinet that had the reminents of tea and coffee sachets but looked uses with very little in it.. again seemed like the room hadn't been serviced or cleaned.
- Room looked like it hadn't been cleaned this year with dirt, hair and bits on the floor.
-Walls were spattered in some areas with dried substances.
-There is a blip sound like a fluorescent tube flickering every 46 seconds somewhere outside the door... this kept me up most the night..
-Room faces reigate train station.. last train was at around 23:30.. first train was 05:15... it's not something that can be ignored.
-Room was very hot even on a mild day.. no fan provided
-Tea mugs in the room were absolutely filthy.. looked like they belonged on a building site.
-The shower and toilet were grim with used toiletries left in the shower cubicle.. along with public hairs..
-Again there was no sign the ablutions had been cleaned recently.
-Light bulbs in the room and
The room was absolutely filthy, the bed sheet had stains, the carpet hadn't been hoovered for what looked like weeks. The toilet was dirty and empty complimentary toiletries left in shower cubicle The tap for the basin was very wobbly and wasn't secured to the base properly. Tea and coffee facilities were left un-stocked. I could go on! Once I notified them of these issues they rectified some, but not all issues. Overall it was totally unacceptable for the price. The pub looks nice from the outside but it stops there unfortunately. They're really missing a trick here because it could/should be so much nicer! Very disapointing.
This was a bit of a panic booking and learned the mistake of not reading reviews. There is a lot that could be improved upon at this property. When we checked in they seemed almost surprised and then after waiting whilst the host went to "deal with a pizza", we were led to our room. It was very dated, very basic, had no towels, no cups for the coffee and tea but best of all! Still had poo in the loo from the previous visitors. The website also clearly said bed and breakfast but there was no breakfast available. My advice would be pay the extra 320 and stay at Reigate Manor.
For a budget stop over this was excellent. Lovely clean room and facilities. Right by Reigate station for anyone wishing to commute into the city.
Bar downstairs was well stocked and seemed popular with the locals. Basic but acceptable food available up until 2100.
Happy to return if in the area again.
Arrived at the hotel, downstairs was fine but the room was disgusting. Didn't stay the rest of the weeks booking. There was what looked like faeces stains on a pillow, dirty make-up pads left in the room it had obviously not been cleaned in preparation for my stay. The picture of the showerhead says it all. When I complained to Hotels.Com they informed me they could not get in touch with the hotel to offer a refund so I had paid 4 nights in full for a one night stay. Stick to being a pub and do not offer services for places to stay as the majority of the reviews here say the cleanliness and attitude is shocking

Lovely staff, top pub, tired rooms
The pub itself is great, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are old and basic though. Handy for Gatwick etc.

Friendly staff
Good service, good clean room, place is a bit dated but for a budget place to stay while away with work pretty good. Staff were really friendly.
