ABOUT THE REINDEER RANCH:
In the early 1950s John Zumstein set up shop with a handful of reindeer from Alaska. It eventually became the home of the largest domesticated herd in the nation, with over 120 reindeer. Many of these beautiful animals were featured during the holidays in places like Disneyland, and some even made their debut in movies and on TV shows!

For 70+ years the reindeer ranch was a must-see attraction in Central Oregon, with families coming from all over the country to visit this unique and magical place.  Many memories were made at the Old Reindeer Ranch, and we hope many new memories will be made at this special historic Redmond property.

The home is less than 10 minutes from Eagle Crest, a resort with golf, outdoor recreation, dining and spa experiences. Bend is 25 minutes south for a day trip where you will find endless choices for shopping, sipping brews and coffee, the Deschutes River, the Old Mill District and High Desert Museum.

Smith Rock State Park beckons – about 10 minutes north of Redmond on Hwy 97. Experience hiking, rock climbing, trail running, mountain biking, slackening and horseback adventures.

Sisters is a short jaunt west of Redmond where you’ll find restaurants, shopping, fishing, Suttle Lake, and Hoodoo Ski Area. Don’t miss the Sisters Rodeo, Quilt Show or the Sisters Folk Fest.

This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house.

NO SMOKING allowed at this property.

Maximum Occupancy: 10 Occupants - Children must be counted within the maximum occupancy unless they are under the age of two (2) and are sleeping in a crib.

Tenant Requirements: Tenant stated on the Agreement/Booking must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age and acknowledge that they will occupy the Property during the entire tenancy.

Truly a great host, she made us coffee cake and it was delicious. The response time was great. The house was very clean, The beds were a little hard, more than I am used to, but overall it was a wonderful stay! Fantastic house, inside and out!
We adored the house! Large kitchen, spacious bedrooms, and great back yard with deck. We grilled and enjoyed family dinners in the evenings. Great location for checking out Sisters, Lake Billy Chinook, and Bend. We would stay here again.

Fun
Right on the highway, kind of noisy but also entertaining for the car people that we are. Two minor issues, deck is old. Wear sandals, and only one pan in kitchen

Great place to stay Very comfortable.
My girlfriend, dog and I drove and met my niece, her husband and three children at the reindeer Ranch. We are meeting to attend a family Reunion. The house had plenty of room for all of us. Nice backyard for the kids and dog to run around in. Games to play I had my six-year-old, great nephew convinced that this is where Santa Claus used to stay and train the reindeer. He was gonna go home and tell his classmates.❤️

Warm and Cozy Home!
The house is cozy clean and the hot tub is devine. They left us a pack of pepperoni sticks and some fresh baked bread. The Keurig coffee pod selection was so fun. Might be one of the warmest welcomes from any place we have ever stayed. The beds are on the very firm side and could use toppers to alleviate the firmness. The white noise machines help alleviate the traffic noise from cars heading to sisters. We wish they still had reindeer on the farm. That would have been magical.

Property was clean and simple, exactly what we were looking for. The only down fall was the 2 twin bed mattresses were like sleeping on concrete. Everything else was perfect. Thanks for the stay!

Top Notch Experience
Stayed here during a work trip for an event in Redmond, and was really impressed. It's on a beautiful property, and the home itself was incredibly clean, well appointed and provided the perfect place to retreat to after a long day. Everything we needed was provided from coffee to laundry detergent which was much appreciated. Best of all, they had a fresh loaf of banana bread and local beef jerky waiting for us in the kitchen when we arrived! Would recommend to anyone, and would absolutely stay here again next time I'm in the Redmond/Bend area.

Five PLUS Stars!
This rental was perfect in every way! The house was spacious and charming, the yard had lush grass and a cozy deck, and I loved that the property was basically double fenced in so even if the dogs lingered by the door, there was no concern about being close to the highway. Everything was clean, check in/out was seamless, and I was very well informed that the hot tub maintenance guy would be coming by on Friday (as he does every week) to make sure the tub was clean and chemicals were balanced. I think he deserves 5 stars alone for coming in, doing his job, and going about his day without any disturbance to our stay 😊 Location is also awesome - town is just a short drive away.

May Stay
Property is beautifully maintained, appears to be very newly remodeled and is exactly as pictured. Back yard is gorgeous and great for the dogs with the irrigation ditch running through the back, the labs loved it! The house is right by the highway and there is road noise and then there’s the sheep, which normally wouldn’t bother me since we own livestock but they bring them in at night into a very small space and well, they would like to be out eating. I am sure they bring them in due to the lambs needing protection from predators. The smell though wafts into the yard and the house if the windows are open and if they are late to be let out, they are very vocal about it. It would be nice if more bath towels were provided and the TP was higher quality. Overall, great value and a very nice home. By the way when they say the hot tub is serviced every Friday, that means a man will just let himself into the back yard and put the chemicals in. It was a bit of a shock to have that happen.

The home was wonderful.
Overall lovely home that can accommodate my family of 8. The house was wonderful. The only thing that was a huge concern was a random guy came into the back yard while my kids were playing and in the hot tub. He was apparently to here to fix the hot tub because of a leak he said the owners already knew about. He didn't go to the front door to let us know he was there, just came right into the back yard and talked to my kids before any adult. We had zero communication on this. My daughter's were very uncomfortable and the rest of the stay felt like we were all just being watched and concerned someone was coming back. We will not be staying there again. That is a huge safety concern.
