"The beach where hotel is situated is the best beach on the island, and overal the hotel is better than I expected from reviews. Where things got really bad for me is: 1. No wifi and no reception (4G / 5G) coverage from my sim card in the room. I could not do anything in my room, had to go to the reception / restaurant area every time I needed to check anything. 2. Food in the restaurant was just horrible. I could not understand how a location in Malaysia could possibly make things like fried rice or noodles completely uneadible. It wouldn't even require extra costs to improve the food, just the bare minimal amount of effort and care"

"The hotel is in need of a renovation. The first day we stayed we got food poisoning, there are no other dining options that looked enticing nearby so we were forced to eat all our meals at the hotel and it is the worst food I have eaten on this trip. The towels are old and rough, everything is dated and although the team are nice, it cannot make up for the experience. The kids room is dark and dingy, the table tennis rackets etc are falling apart, the hand soap dispensers are broken etc etc "

"Dirty hotel, the matress was very old and the room was very dirty. Seems that wasn't cleaned before the arrival. It's sad because it has the best spot on the beach. If the hotel changes and take care of the costumers it will be top but sadly, not now"

"As a family with children aged 10 and 12, we absolutely loved this resort. The pool was invaluable to be able to have time for ourselves to relax as well as the children. Buffet was great and the manager was amazing. Our children loved watching the baby reef sharks swimming next to the jetty out the front of the resort. Would highly recommend to both couples, individuals or families as they offer something for everyone. "

"Location and guest service were amazing. Staff is very friendly and approachable however the building itself requires some improvements like paintings, renovations and bathroom upgrade. There are loads of minor jobs that could be done in one day sp bungalows wpuld look much better. I would invest more money to create executive suits fpr higjer standards."

"Paradise is a fantastic budget option for a solo traveler or esp a family that doesnt need pampering but wants a safe, clean, pleasant place. The staff are super helpful and Oaradise offers people a cha ce to enjoy Redang's amazing sea life without spending hundreds of dollars a day in the nearby resorts. If you plan to enjoy the water and just want a room for sleeping, also olenty of space for a group, this place is it. I walked into the water in front of this place and saw turtles, sharka and lots of pretty coral and fish. Hint: bring your own snorkel gear and you don't have to wait til the noisy boars leave with big groups at 9 or 10. Early morning is magical. The backside of the island is worth exploring too, but behind beach resorts you'll see the business end of them. Infistrial equipment, trash dump, etc. If you are picky about wanting the pristine enclosure, then maybe pick one of the more expensive resorts. They range from a minimum of $120 a night to $800. There were families with young children at Paradise and everyone seemed to be having a good time.Again, the staff were great, the food yummy, and the room no frills but perfectly fine and as described. This goes for all budget places, but if you are a light aleepwr, bring earplugs. Walls are thin and there's outdoor music til 1030. "
