Lovely farmhouse tucked away in the Hudson Valley.
Jackie was very helpful in getting us settled in. Fresh OJ, milk and eggs were waiting for us in the fridge in addition to a really well stocked kitchen. Lovely touches throughout the house to make you feel like you are a special guest.
We had a lovely weekend at this updated farm house.
The house is a great combination of old comfortable farm house and updated and clean kitchens and bathrooms. We loved having Artie, the kitty, as our welcoming party.
An absolutely wonderful experience! This warm, lovely farmhouse is beautiful and delightfully renovated. All modern comforts of home, but retains its quaint and cozy mystique. The wood beams are exceptional. Even better than advertised, and Jackie was a responsive and accommodating host. We brought our pup, Winston, who submitted a “5-paw” review!
Thank you Jackie! We’d love to return again and again!
Jackie's home is even more beautiful than the pictures! Exceptionally clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. We had a last minute medical emergency and almost had to cancel but Jackie was very understanding and helped us to manage to get there and stay for our whole time. I have already shared with two friends her beautiful home in the Rheinbeck area. Thank you Jackie!
A beautifully restored old farmhouse with old stone work and original wood ceiling beams. But all with modern facilities. Jackie, our wonderful hostess, meets you and does a full walkthrough. Three bedrooms and two full baths. We had six adults and a toddler and had plenty of room indoors and out. Lovely deck with barbeque. And easy access to all nearby attractions. The Wilderstein estate was my favorite. A perfect venue for a family gathering crossing generations. We are looking at a fall colors trip!
I rented The Cat's Meow to spend my 24th birthday visiting my friends at Bard College. It was an absolutely gorgeous property, especially with the autumn ambiance of early October. The house was perfectly clean, comfortable, and a truly beautiful building! I hosted a small party there, made my snacks in the fully equipped kitchen, and all of my friends were taken aback by just how charming the house was. The cat decor, including pictures of what I assume are Jackie's actual cats, is the cherry on top!
I would gladly stay here again, just to enjoy the house and the lovely scenery. Thank you for having me!
We have been coming to this area in September for 50 years. We've tented, trailered motelled and hotelled This stay at the Cat's Meow was far and away the most civilized. It is close to the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome and the village of Red Hook .The town of Rhinebeck is just down the road with its large assortment of restaurants and shopping opportunities. The house itself is scrupulously clean and a minor A/C glitch was dealt with immediately. I rarely give 5 stars in any category, but when something couldn't be better. that's all there is! 5 stars all round and we will return
The house is best for a small family that can be active and not worry about hurting the interior. The property is pretty especially the open fields across the street where an evening walk is lovely. House was well stocked and comfortable .
