"The decor of the cottage was stunning. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Location was also really good very near the beach, park, shops and cafes etc. Parking was easy right outside. I would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed lovely walks along the promenade. A few minor tweaks needed to make this a top class stay. Hairdryer and remote control not working correctly - both need replaced. Sofa was not very comfortable cushions were flat and worn. "Cottage has everything you need for a family to stay! Plenty of room, kitchen equipped to cook, highland cows outside front door! We were greeted by much appreciated milk, tea, bread etc! Great after a long drive up! We ebiked and walked in Dunkeld, climbed Lochnagar, explored Braemar, sledged at Glen Shee, explored Glen Clova - and always returned to a cosy, welcoming cottage! "

"Had a lovely weekend staying at Birnie Cottage. Aileen was great at giving information prior to our arrival and gave us a lovely welcome with scones, butter and jam. "This is our second visit and we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful rural location. Perfect for outdoor loving families. The surroundings are stunning. We watched deer climbing the fellside each morning and horses in the field below. There views in all directions are spectacular. There is plenty of walking from the doorstep which is great for children and dogs. We received a lovely warm welcome from the owners who were nearby if needed."
