"We loved the great-room just off the dining/kitchen area, as well as the boat dock for lounging and kayaking. Used the patio for grilling and campfire with s'mores. The location at the north end of the lake is a convenient launching point for area attractions. Couldn't really use the spare sitting room as a bedroom, but fortunately we didn't need it. Had a few minor issues, but the owner/host was very responsive. "

"We wanted to check out the area for a possible move coming up. Although, it was a bit more in the woods and up into the mountain than I had realized (people were not kidding when they said to make sure you have 4 wheel drive) it was a really great stay for us. My husband and two sons had to meet us there the second day so I guess that is why the cabin straight in the woods was a bigger deal to me and my daughter going it alone. It is a super cute cabin in the woods with the most beautiful view...

"The cabin was the perfect way to spend a weekend getaway. The views at sunrise and sunset were to die for. It was just as nice spending time in the cabin as it was hiking in Shenandoah and exploring nearby Orange. The entire weekend was such a nice escape from the city. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here."

"This was THE perfect spot for one last hurrah/downtime before the school year and sports pick back up. It was remote and quiet with cover water access and kayaks. Everything in the kitchen works beautifully and their is plenty of beds and space to spread out. We really enjoyed our stay"

"Great experience and will definitely come back. Good communication with the owners, and they were super nice - they shared their farm fresh eggs with us. So we were all set for breakfast! The property itself was really nice. It was just the right size for a couple and it had a grill which was a plus. "Within 30 minutes of my arrival the first evening, it started to snow. It continued to snow all night long and into the morning. When I woke-up I was in awe because the snow was so beautiful and the cabin so charming. I felt like I was smack, dab in the middle of a Norman Rockwell painting. The trip was very relaxing and the owner very responsive. "
