"Nice locally owned property. Nice amount of floor space. Microwave, Fridge & coffee maker a plus. Our room was at the end of the building, you needed to run the water for a bit before taking a shower. Otherwise everything was great"

"A beautiful newly remodeled hotel. The side we stayed on. When booking make sure you ask for the New Hotel Wing. The old one is not pretty and smells old. The side we upgraded to was expensive but New. Bed was very hard. But the view was nice and the rest of the room was great! If you want to go out to eat, and can't afford a lot do Not eat in their restaurant, it's extremely expensive, we were ignored most of the time we were there and way Overcharged. Not only that but the food was mediocre at best. It was a pretty dining experience but the food was not and the service was worse... For three people we spent almost $200 and that was not with any drinks only two waters and a soda. Very expensive restaurant! "

"This was our second year staying at this cabin. We really like the views on the lake and the sunsets. The pellet stove is an awesome touch. The cabin overall is very accommodating and has everything we need with all basic provisions and more. "

"Great little hideaway on the lake. Went for a fishing trip with some family and I was in charge of finding a place to stay. Everyone complimented me on the find. Plenty of space for the group in terms of sleeping arrangements and common space for hanging out. Can't wait to book again next year!"

"The Hillcrest appears to have been a motor inn long ago, but has been refurbished and refreshed with care and an eye for clean, modernized accommodations for customers. The primary colored chairs on the front walkway are cheery and welcoming as are the staff who are extremely friendly and helpful. Huge hanging baskets of healthy, fresh flowers add to the welcoming ambiance. Check-in was a breeze. The location was convenient to area restaurants and an easy drive to other sites on the UP. The inn is located in front of some woodlands where the owners have thoughtfully cleared a walking path for customers. Although we don't travel with pets, they have pet-friendly rooms and an enclosed area for dogs to play and enjoy fresh air. I would definitely recommend staying here and would do so myself if I am in the area again!"
