Clean and spacious! Highly recommend!
We loved our stay at this comfortable, clean and spacious cabin in the Black Hills. It was the perfect home base for our South Dakota adventures and centrally located to all the places we wanted to visit. My husband and I traveled from Minnesota with two 15 year olds and two 19 year olds (our kids and two friends). There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. We played games at the dining room table, watched movies on a rainy afternoon and the teens played many rounds of pool. I enjoyed sitting on the deck, listening to the birds and reading in the mornings and evenings. Excellent communication with owner. This cabin reminded me of staying at my grandparents cabin as a kid. So much nostalgia! Highly recommend this cabin for your Black Hills getaway!

Beautiful cabin!
Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay at this cabin. Everything was exactly as expected - clean, spacious, and just lovely. The kids enjoyed the cows and wild turkey on the mountain, and we loved that we could easily get to Pactola Lake almost every evening. I would echo other reviewers about arriving during daylight hours - it's a very, very windy trip up the mountain, but so worth it. Also, we did not have cell reception at the cabin (we have US Cellular), but it sounds like most others did. I would definitely recommend this cabin - we had a wonderful time!

Great Place!
Our group had two families (4 adults, 4 children ages 4-7). It was the perfect size for our group. The kids enjoyed exploring outside and upstairs in the loft. Kitchen had all the essentials needed, including grill making supper easy. Found beautiful scenery for morning hikes. The drive to the cabin is an adventure itself! Was a nice location to many attractions. Vickie was excellent with communicating with us before, during and after the stay to make sure everything was good. We would recommend this cabin!

Family Get Together
Staying at this property allowed our extended family to get together and explore the Black Hills area. The house was sufficiently stocked with the essentials. It is quite secluded, so know that it is 20-25 min to the nearest grocery store and the last 3 miles are on curvey gravel roads.

True Cozy Cabin Experience with gorgeous views!
This house is a gem in the Black Hills! We loved it here and I wish we could have stayed longer! Conveniently located near gorgeous Lake Pactola between the Northern Hills and Southern Hills-it's a great home base for site seeing. It's an easy drive to Mount Rushmore and Custer State Park. But if you want to go North to Spearfish and Deadwood-it's not too far off the beaten path. The house is tucked away on Edelweiss Mountain and is very quiet and private. There is a gorgeous wrap around deck that is great for morning coffee and relaxing. Plus-a fully functioning gas grill. The house is spacious with 2 family rooms on different levels so it's easy to disperse and not feel overcrowded. In addition to the 2 bedrooms on the main level, and the bedroom in the basement, there is a loft and bedroom on the 3rd level if some of your party want a little quiet space. Even with all the space -the family room on the main level is where we gathered because it was quaint and cozy for dinners. We cooked all our breakfast and dinners here and the kitchen has every pot and pan, utensil you would need. The house is older, but has character (Be sure to look at the owls). If you want granite countertops, designer pots and pans and updated bathrooms- this isn't the place. But if you want to relax, be close to friends and family while you enjoy the Black Hills-this is THE perfect place. The hosts were amazing and check-in was a breeze. We would surely stay again! The only tip is arrive when it's daylight. The road is a little steep so it's helpful to drive up the mountain in the daylight until you get your bearings.
