The Spring Creek Canyon Cabin #3 is nestled in a serene area with stunning views of Spring Creek Canyon yet conveniently located close to Rapid City and popular local attractions. The cabin is 10 minutes from downtown Rapid City, 15 minutes from Mount Rushmore, and 40 min from Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, and the northern hills attractions. There is an abundance of wildlife that roam the area to include Big Horn Sheep, Wild Turkeys, and Deer. There truly is no place like Spring Canyon in the Black Hills that offers the conveniences of town a short distance away!

Spring Creek Canyon Cabin #3 was built in 2015. The cabins are 1200 Sq Ft. and built with local Black Hills Timbers. The cabin will also have a custom stone wood burning fireplace - with the stones coming right from Spring Canyon! Each cabin will have a large deck with hot tub and grill.

The cabins are rustic with all modern conveniences! There will be nothing like it in the Black Hills! Book Today!

Absolute perfection
My husband and I LOVED this property and plan to stay again in the near future. 1). So many animals right on the property…turkeys ( one day 19 went in a long line across the back yard) Big Horn sheep…beautiful, deer galore … does , bucks, babies 2) spacious, room, eclectic things to read on the walls, nice furniture, all kitchen items needed and CLEAN 3)comfortable porch with a perfect CLEAN hot tub. 4) close to everything. We love the Mt Rushmore area and come often…. From now on, this is where we are staying!!!!!

This cabin was perfect for our family of four. The layout was great for spending time together. The bathroom setup was also great with the toilet and shower in separate rooms... and each bedroom haning a vanity and sink. The deck was perfect for watching wildlife and storms!

Cabin nestled in secluded neighborhood!
Beautiful cabin nestled in a quiet valley surrounded by wildlife! Enjoyed sitting out on the deck every morning and evening with the fire going and watching the wildlife all around. Cabin was very clean and well equipped with daily essentials. Shower was phenomenal!! Great location for a family getaway! Will most definitely book again with Jessica for our next trip out!

Beautiful Cabin
My family spent 5 days at this beautiful cabin. It was off the beaten path but not too far. It slept all 5 of us comfortably. Wildlife was everywhere including; Bighorn sheep, deer, turkey and more! The cabin was really nice! It was well set up with everything a family would need. We absolutely loved how it was decorated. We would highly recommend this property to anyone who loves nature and needs a great location to Custer/Rushmore area. We will stay again!

Perfect home base
The spring creek canyon property was the perfect home base for our Black Hills adventure. It's centrally located and close to everything. The house was beautifully designed and decorated and we especially loved our morning visit with the Big Horn Sheep. Thank you Jessica for sharing your home with me and my family. We'll be back!!

Perfectly perfect
This cabin is adorable. It’s tastefully decorated. It’s well stocked with essentials you may forget or run out of (foil, salt&pepper, tissues, soap, etc). The owners are kind and very easy to communicate with. We didn’t have any problems, but Jess was so kind to communicate about weather and wildlife throughout our stay. The check in/out was easy peasy! I would highly recommend!!

Great cabin!
We stayed at this cabin over the July 4th weekend and it was a perfect base to explore the Black Hills and venture into Rapid City. We stayed with 3 kids, who loved the loft. Everything in the cabin was great. The hot tub, fire pit and fireplace made it a great place to wind down and relax after a busy day. Jessica is great to deal with and very responsive. Highly recommend!

Our home away from home
We loved our stay in the cabin! It is exactly as pictured and described. Our highlight was seeing all the wildlife around the cabin...deer, turkeys and big horned sheep! It has the cabin feel with all the comforts of home. My kids were sad to leave. We have 3 aged 6-11 and it was a win for all. Everything we needed was in the home. It was a great location to stay and we really enjoyed unwinding in the quiet after doing all the tourist things in the area.

The owner spent alot of time in choosing old historical photographs and putting them very well displayed in all rooms. Very cool!! The mornings were beautiful and if you payed attention you would see all you came for and much more.

Black Hills Adventure
We had a wonderful week in the Black Hills. The cabin was situated perfectly for all of our adventures including being within 1 hour of Custer State Park, Jewel and Wind Cave, and Mt. Rushmore. The house had everything we needed for our family of 5 including 2 teenagers and our school aged daughter. We were able to cookout each night for dinner and then unwind in the hot tub. Our favorite part of staying here were the friendly animal friends including big horn sheep and deer. Our kids loved staying here so much they are hoping to return in winter.

Home away from home
This was the best property I have ever rented! The cabin was pristinely clean, and it was also nice to not have to do extra cleanup such as stripping the beds, etc. It was well-anointed with everything we needed (we never had to worry about getting extra paper or cleaning products from the store), and we loved all the animals that roamed the yard and the neighborhood. It was just outside of downtown Rapid City, which we loved, since it was much more quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. My kids were excited to come back to the “brown house” every day, and we were all sad to leave it. I only had to reach out to Jess once for a quick question, and she was very quick to respond. Thank you again!!

Amazingly beautiful property!
We had an awesome time at this cabin last week. It is so beautiful, and well decorated. We've been thinking of buying our own cabin back home, and I don't think we could imagine anything better than this one. The detail is amazing and certainly it has every modern convenience. There is so much to do in the Black Hills, and we had every intention of getting up each morning early and leaving for the day. But we loved the cabin so much that we always slept in and just hung out. One rainy day we went to Walmart and bought some board games and a puzzle and just had an awesome family day inside. Jessica is just across the road and is extremely receptive to anything you might need. The cabin is very remote, but still very close to Rapid City, so you aren't far from anything really. Mount Rushmore, Hill City, Reptile Garden, Cosmos...all within a half hour or so. But back to the place, I still can't get over the way this cabin is decorated (whoever the interior designer is should win an award). There are letters from famous folks, memorabilia, and animal heads.....and it just works! And the cabin itself I'd describe as rustic/industrial (cool use of pipes). Our kids loved the loft, although the steps could be a bit steep for really small children. There are sinks in the bedrooms and the shower is HUGE. We will not forget this cabin and would stay again in a heartbeat. If I had any complaint, and it's nitpicking, it's that I wish there was more of a yard. We brought a lot of sporty stuff, and would have been nice to have been able to throw the football around. The area around the cabin is natural grassland, so long and not ideal for playing in. But Jessica did offer to have our kids play over in their yard on the swingset area, which was nice. A firepit would be great too, but again, with the long grass I'm guessing that would be a significant fire hazard. Otherwise, just amazing. You can literally sit in the hot tub and watch deer roam by......where else can you do that?? Thanks for being a great host Jessica and letting us rent your amazing cabin! Quiet getaway
The cabin is beautiful, lots of interesting decor to see. We loved all of beautiful deer grazing nearby daily. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any of the other wildlife near the cabin. This was an amazing cabin everything was made of wood. The set up of the shower separate from the bathroom was a great idea! We were all able to shower and get ready quickly without the feel of a single bathroom. The shower was the best! We have been VRBO stayers for many years and I have stayed in multiple homes, cabins and condos in South Dakota for the annual Sturgus Rally and this was one of the best. Recommend: additional spices and a king bed :)

Very clean and great location not far from Sheridan Lake Road which easily brings you into Rapid or out to the hills. Very clean and responsive property manager. The shower handle broke while we were there and they had it fixed that day. The hot tub was an added bonus, sitting in it in the evening we had deer come up very close to us. It was very peaceful. The only thing I could recommend is that a sensitive skin non-fragrance detergent be used for washing towels and sheets. The smell was very strong and I have sensitive skin that can break out in rash. We just bought some other detergent and washed the towels to help prevent this.
