A Perfect Retreat

We loved staying at Spring Canyon School! It was perfect for our family and we especially loved the view of the canyon in the back. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and comfortable. If we visit the Black Hills area in the future, we would definitely try to stay here again!

Perfect place to relax
Perfect cabin for the 3 of us. We came to visit the sites of the Black Hills and this cabin was a great place to stay at the end of the day. The cabin was also very well stocked with just about whatever you might need. Highly recommend staying here!

Our stay at the cabin was wonderful. The accommodation was everything described and honestly it exceeded our expectations. The view looking over the canyon from the deck was mesmerizing. Sadly, we only booked 5 nights - too little for the amount of sightseeing we packed-in. Next time we will schedule a longer stay!

Pre-Fall in RC SD Cabin
Wonderful, awesome base for excursions into the SW of SD and/or just hanging out and exploring. We are hikers and lifetime learners and explorers. Could not ask for a better accommodation. Exactly as portrayed on the VRBO site; clean, comfortable with many amenities provided that we find in the best locations that made the experience exceptional. Julie is an awesome manager and the property and rental processes are fair and easy. We highly recommend this spot to others of outdoor mind-sets and likes.

Spring Canyon Schoolhouse
My husband and I rented this cabin for our 30th wedding anniversary. We arrived at night so we were not able to see the whole property. When we woke the next morning, we were so amazed at the view and the that the cabin sits on a ravine/cliff. We were greeted by a family of deer and long horned sheep. We were so pleased and impressed we booked the cabin for my birthday. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a quiet break in the middle of nature. Beautiful!!

Cozy & Breathtaking at the same time!
Absolutely lovely true log cabin in a private, stunningly beautiful setting. You won't believe the view from the extra large deck! Floor to ceiling windows on the entire south side of the cabin bring the awesome beauty of Spring Creek Canyon indoors to you. And, all of this comes with warm and cozy furnishings, granite counter tops, the many amenities of home, and the sacred opportunity to observe wildlife in their natural habitat; be quiet, eyes wide open, and wait; the deer, turkeys, birds, and maybe even some big horn sheep will visit the yard - so awesome to see. We cannot wait to return! Jessica and Cole will make sure your stay is one to remember. :)

Beautiful Black Hills Escape
We had a wonderful stay in the Black Hills. The cabin was great, rustic yet modern conveniences. The view out the back deck was as beautiful as could be. Everything was clean and the air conditioning was up to the task despite 100+ heatwave in the Black Hills area. The cabin had a nice centralized location. It was fairly easy to access attractions in both Northern and Southern part of the area. Wildlife viewing was abundant right from the cabin windows. We saw deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, and many birds. What a peaceful escape. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to visit the Black Hills. My family and I plan to come back again some time. Thank you.
