"This is a one-of-a-kind historic beautiful hotel. We have stayed there before and made sure that we could stay again on our route down South. Just coming up the main driveway is hugely impressive and you see the splendour of this property, especially when illuminated at night. The staff at check-in was very friendly, personable and helpful and made us feel welcome. The room was clean, spacious and well appointed. The location is great, within a short walk to historic and quaint downtown Staunton with its beautiful shops and plenty of restaurants. All staff we talked to was super nice. It was quiet and relaxing. The architecture is nothing short of amazing, just look at the spiral staircase. We would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended and very special experience."

"The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom and walk in shower were clean and large. The Keurig in the room was a nice touch. I liked that it was a nice walk around the hotel - like a small clean park. The breakfast food looked good but did not tast that great without the gravy but most of the people were eating lots of it. I only had a small portion. "
