"Sunset Gecko is the ideal condo for two couples. Lots of room inside and two outside decks to sit and have a drink or read a book. Our group really enjoyed the roof top pool and views. The condo was well equipped for cooking and entertaining. The staff kept the outside tidy and housekeeping did a great job on the inside. The condo is a bit of a walk to get to the sidewalk area and main part of Placencia so we rented a golf cart. This made grocery shopping easier and we were able to explore...

"This was a great place! Tom was very responsive when I had a question. Edwin, the property manager, and his family were delightful and he always responded quickly when we needed a ride. The view from the upper deck was too perfect. It is a perfect place to unwind and relax. In fact we are coming back next year!"

"Great communication with the owners. The property is much nicer and larger than it appears in the photos. The pool is also much nicer than it appears in the photos. The location is very central and I would highly recommend. We stayed here towards the end of a two week trip to Belize and it was nice to have a full kitchen to cook some meals after eating out so often"

Book this one! Now! I mean it!

"Can't say enough good things about Alux! My friend and I visited Placencia for our Birthdays and were originally booked at other accomadations. We left the other place after one night and found Alux. What a gem! It is in the heart of the village. Everything is walkable, with lots of options for food, shopping and fun. The room as lovely, clean, cool and spacious. It was so well appointed too! Coffee and filters, small appliances, spacous modern kitchen, thick bath towels, toiletries and so forth. We are planning a return trip for 2026!"
