In a peaceful rural location it is ideal for relaxation and touring alike, being just 10 miles from the Georgian Heritage City of Bath with its superb architecture of historic interest. Other local attractions include Longleat, Stourhead House and gardens (NT), Wells Cathedral, Cheddar Gorge and Chew Valley Lake. Excellent walking on Mendip Hills. Local golf and riding. Shop 1½ miles, pub ½ mile.

In a valley tucked away in rural Somerset surrounded by rolling hills. Very warm and comfortable with a lovely new en suite in the master bedroom. Well equipped kitchen but the worktops and carpet are a little worn. Mr Holmes was there to greet us on arrival and checked all was well. Well designed with wonderful views throughout. This is a good honest cottage, amazing garden which really came into its own.
This is a good honest cottage, amazing garden which really came into its own. It is rural and if this is what you like then it is perfect. Lovely very hilly walks and runs from the door. The cottage was clean and comfortable, it was not fancy but had everything that we needed. The owner was great and really helpful. We had a great stay. The house was very comfortable, clean (although the oven could do with a good clean!) and the location superb for peace and quiet. The approaching lanes though are very narrow and steep in places so in bad weather could be a problem. For us it was very difficult to find, there were no signposts. There is apparently a pub a 1/4 of a mile away but I never saw it. Lovely area for walking.
