Fun short stay.
The owner was a GREAT HOST! He ALWAYS answered his phone. He even allowed us in an hour early as the wedding we were attending began at 4:00. The place was cute and perfect for 2 people.

Cute condo
Stanley was very responsive to any questions I had! Check in and out was simple and easy! Loved the exposed brick in the condo! Comfortable seating and HUGE TV’s.

Great condo for 2
The description stated that the condo was suitable for 4 however it really is set up for 2. The kids had to make beds and sleep on the floor as the advertised futon had not been delivered at that time. Other than that our stay was very enjoyable. The owner was friendly and had good communication with us.

As Advertised
This was a perfectly nice condo; we suspected the earlier 1 star review we read was written by an unreasonable person, and we were right. I highly doubt that reviewer witnessed a "drug transaction." This VRBO was in a perfectly nice neighborhood, and we were able to walk to downtown Racine. (Granted, we like walking, and walked well over a mile to a restaurant on the other side of downtown. There are places within a much shorter walking distance though, and either way, parking didn't seem to be an issue in the area.) True, this condo was not impeccably clean (just clean ENOUGH) and the bed WAS very high as another reviewer mentioned, but it didn't bother us. Other reviewers mentioned there being a lack of cookware, but we found it fairly well stocked. It does seem like it's someone's home, which feels a little jarring to me the few times I've stayed at a rental like that; but it was definitely a place we'd go to again.

Nightmare
We had hoped from the pictures. It was close to our loved ones memorial. As we parked, we noticed two people making what looked like a drug transaction. The upstairs unit was screaming at each other. The location was in a terrible area. The unit looked like the pictures, except for two important things. The bed was so high that it was up to my chest (I’m 5’3”) the owner told us to remove the box springs! We are not young. I told him that we have disabilities. The other thing was that the refrigerator had household food in it. They also had water for sale. When we stay for a week, we buy our own food. I was worried that we would forget whose food it was. The three of us were extremely uncomfortable and left the unit within one hour. We were forced to find other lodgings. I let the owner know when we left. He told me that he has lived there and never had problems. I can only tell you what we experienced. VRBO needs to make this right. I couldn’t find anywhere to alert VRBO to the situation until today.

Perfect Location for a Short Stay
We came to Racine for a jet ski race on North Beach. The location of this condo was perfect. The condo itself was nice. Very spacious and pretty clean. Our only complaints were- not a lot of kitchen supplies for cooking (just plan to bring what you need if you want to cook) and not very hot water. Neither of those are deal breakers for this cute condo. Thanks for the stay!
