"We booked a "superior twin room" for this stay, which turned out to be a large suite on the first floor of a large, old stone mansion. Huge bedroom with a good heat pump, along with a frigidly cold bathroom and similar frozen sitting room. There's a large shared veranda at the rear as well. This would be 5-star accomodations in the summer, with the high ceilings and spacious surroundings. "Lovely, quiet place, close to very beautiful scenery and authentic Portuguese rural experience. Loved the burros! But like most pools in Portugal, too cold to use. Not sure why no one installs solar water heaters on a nearby roof top to heat the pool as it would be fairly inexpensive investment. Also wonder why most of all shower enclosures in Europe leak water onto the floor."
