As soon as you pull down the drive to this beautiful home, you will immediately be greeted with a picturesque scene of a log cabin home tucked away into the woods. Walking inside, the home features an open concept floor plan, vaulted ceilings, and space for everyone to spend time together. Take in the views of Greers Ferry Lake just outside the floor to ceiling windows, and when the sun is setting your breath will be taken away by the amazing views. Inside the main living area, you will also see a unique tree in the corner decorated with fishing lures. These lure's were collected by the family during their many summers spent at the "Lured Away Cabin". Make your own family memories by combing the beach for treasures that have washed up on the shores of the lake.

The master bedroom is located off the living room and features an en-suite bathroom, jacuzzi tub, and a private entrance to the spacious back deck over looking Greers Ferry Lake. The second bedroom is also located on the main floor and has access to a full bathroom. Heading into the kitchen, you will find a large range, oven, and plenty of space to cook a delicious home - cooked meal . Moving upstairs, you will find two bedrooms separated by a walk-way. The first bedroom features a queen size bed with an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has two sets of bunk beds, two trundle beds, and an ensuite bathroom.

Going outside, you will immediately be greeted with views of Greers Ferry Lake. Take the short walk down to the lake where you can spend all day playing in the water and soaking up the sun.

Fishing Trip

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We took our management team on a guided fishing trip. We wanted a place right on the lake so they could also fish from shore. This property was perfect for our group of eleven mostly single adults (2 couples). The property was clean in terms of a cleaning service taking care of the interior. But it was lacking in overall upkeep and maintenance. The bathroom floor rugs needed to be washed. The deck area was covered in tree pollen, bird poop & spider webs. Common issues in the woods, but part of the upkeep should include cleaning the deck before guests arrive. At 11:00pm Friday night, we discovered the hot water heater didn't work. We also had a leak from the guest shower upstairs into the master bedroom. We were unable to speak with anyone until Sat morning during our guided fishing trip. They immediately offered another property, but it wasn't favorable for our needs. Also it was storming when we returned from fishing. We were only staying until the next morning at 10:00am so we opted for no hot water vs. relocating in the storm. This is a beautiful, comfortable property right on the lake. But it appears that the real estate investment owners had not made arrangements to ensure the long-term maintenance of the home and to make sure it was in good condition to rent to guests. I expect challenges when travelling, it's a beautiful home, and we had a great trip. But I'll try not to rent from these owners again because the lack of oversight means things will continue to go wrong.

My husband and I stayed here with our daughter and her family and my son and his family Thanksgiving week. We loved this home! It had perfect accommodations for our family of 10 with everything we needed provided to us. It’s beautiful property right on the lake and we all had a great time!!!

We absolutely loved this house and highly recommend it. We were seriously considering renting for the week of Thanksgiving, but it appears to not be available for renting anymore and I'm so bummed. Beautiful home. Beautiful view. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Great house on the lake
The house was right in the water with a boat launch close to the house also. We were able to leave the boat in the water over night which made the stay even more enjoyable. This is a great house with a wonderful layout.

Amazing place!
This place had everything you need. The bunk room for the kids was great! Kids also enjoyed the canoe. Our only thought was with so many people you should have a second couch instead of the chaise chair because there was not enough seating except the chairs at the table which is not as comfy as a couch. The walkway to the water so nice! We loved our stay!

The cabin was great. The weather not so much. The board games were incomplete which is unfortunate. I wish other people would be considerate enough to not lose pieces. We loved the access to the lake and enjoyed the fire pit! I will try this area again possibly in the warmer months.

The view is fantastic. The roads getting there are a little scary, particularly after dark, but that's typical of this area of Arkansas. Our main complaint was that the large projection tv in the living area did not work. As it was Thanksgiving, we were not able to get this resolved so had to use the small tv from the bunk room. Also, the gas grill was dirty and the two propane tanks were unusable--one was empty and the other had a problem with the connection. We ended up having to buy two small charcoal grills and charcoal in order to grill our Thanksgiving dinner. Things to do maintenance wise--light bulb in lamp in the living room was burned out,door on hall bath locks but does not latch, bunk room door sticks. Overall a great experience.

The kitchen was spacious and equipped with all the necessary essentials. Sitting on the deck was very relaxing. This is a wonderful place to unwind and connect with family. No WiFi, but we didn't miss it. We went Old School with card games, board games and Tic-Tac-Toe with the younger children. We all had a great time and agreed that we will do it again next year.

Beautiful home by the lake
The house itself it in respectful condition. The view from the upstairs overlooking the lake is worth the trip itself. The check in/out process is very clear and easy to complete. The only downside we found about our stay was the location of the house compared to the boat storage. It was about a 30 minute drive from Heber springs to Quitman where this house is located but that was a minor inconvenience. Overall my colleagues and I enjoyed our stay.

I loved the location and view. The house was perfectly laid out and roomy. We weren’t prepared for the black film from the beach. Kids feet and those tiny black rocks were a mess. Other than that, it was a wonderful and relaxing time at the lake.

LAKESIDE RETREAT
This property has a lovely location. Having a bathroom for each bedroom was fabulous. The inside was in great shape. The exterior was a little dingy and the deck stairs were scary. There was no WIFI. The kayaks mentioned when I reserved the property Dec 26th were not available in June. The "canoe paddles" were not adequate to power a canoe. They were about 3 feet too short. But overall our stay was great.
